America's Soft Tyranny is Hardening (Constitutional Republic Is Gone)
American Thinker ^ | Patricia McCarthy

Posted on 10/31/2015 12:03:45 AM PDT by quesney

We are semi-officially a lawless, soft (but hardening) tyranny. How else does one explain Lois Lerner not being charged with the numerous crimes she has most certainly committed? As many others have noted, the fix was in as surely as the fix is in on the countless crimes committed by Hillary Clinton and her grubby Clinton Foundation that sells influence at very high prices. Like Lerner, Clinton likely will be deemed above the law. General Petraeus and several others were charged, jailed and/or fined for crimes so minimal compared to Hillary's because they did not toe the Obama line: no deviation from the agenda is allowed, no criticism of the regime will be tolerated.

American citizens outside of the protective bubble of the government are expendable. They are fodder... The IRS, the EPA, the DOJ, the VA, and the FEC under Obama are free to target and abuse those of us without the resources to protect ourselves. The countless good people who were targeted by the IRS were prevented from exercising the freedoms guaranteed to them by the Constitution. The actions of Lerner and the IRS very likely changed the outcome of the 2012 election. Prevent, with malice aforethought, hundreds of conservative groups across from organizing and raising money and you have silenced millions of people.

What is Obamacare if not bureaucratic abuse? The many lies told in the run-up to its passing are well known now as millions have lost the medical insurance they had. Those who have signed on are paying as much as 200% more for less coverage. All the hype about lower costs was lies...It is a massive wealth redistribution scheme...Only the people receiving it for free can "afford" it because the rest of us, who cannot afford it, are paying for them.

The USSC and their chief justice are to blame for their refusal to do their duty. The congress is to blame for their failure to do their duty as promised to the voters.

Both are to blame for failing to uphold their oath to defend the US Constitution.

It was more like Lerner was deemed below the law.

Our system of checks and balances isn’t working very well. The Governors and state legislatures have been neutered too. The 17th amendment has been a disaster.

blackdog :" The USSC and their chief justice are to blame for their refusal to do their duty."

Burgdahl is the patron saint of duty for this administration.
What is wrong is construed to be correct behavior
What is sinful is expectted to be acceptable.
The world as constructed by this administration is totally topsey-turvey , and upside-down
It will not end well !!

Obama's own little Orwellian Newspeak nuance to America's information clearing houses known as the mainstream media.

The people are ultimately to blame for sitting back and letting this happen to us.

Voting themselves a place to feed at the trough.

Not all the voters mind you but the big business, livs and the gimedats for sure have led this nation to ruin.

Now we are faced with how in the hell we get it back. That is the big question. Will voting fix it or will it take a shooting war and a total reconstruction.

My vote is voting will not. The weeds must be trimmed in America. We must gain the attention of the attentionless. Let’s say someone needs to be bitch slapped around quite a bit.

Actually, the fault rests with the people of the US; we have not been covetous enough for liberty.

Since 1913 we have allowed power to concentrate into fewer and fewer hands, to the point that in 2015 scotus and Obama make most of the laws.

Article V invites us to exercise our constitutionally authorized remedy for tyranny. I doubt if there is any red-blooded conservative who is not disquieted by these trespasses against our constitutional legacy so dearly won and so jealously guarded by our forebears up until a couple of generations ago.

These Founders and Framers were very great men but they had no great faith in the greatness of man and so they both anticipated our dilemma and gave us a ready-made solution.

Why are so many conservatives on these threads outraged by the loss of their liberties but equally phobic at the suggestion that we do what the Constitution itself tells us to do?

Easy.
The bad guys are the ones in charge, and have been for YEARS.
The vote last time was clearly for a reversal—and did NOT WORK AT ALL.
DO NOT blame “the people” or “voters” this time.

I doubt that there is an electoral solution anymore.

Projection: accusing your opponents of doing what you want to do. Case in point: nothing came out about Obama's past prior to his ascendancy to the Oval Office in 2008.

The administration, by contrast, has every bit of dirt on every influential person - Supreme Court Justices, Congressmen, Senators - and will use it. Blackmail, threats, you name it...

This explains Boehner, the GOPe, everything...

A high school coach is suspended for praying. A baker in Oregon, a pizza store owner in Indian - shut down for refusing to cater explicitly for sodomistic unions.

By contrast, the Secretary of State compromises national security, and nothing. An IRS bigwig selectively targets individuals based on ideology and effectively sticks her tongue out and thumbs in her ears at a Congressional hearing in 2013... nothing.

What will happen in the next election? Will there be a next election? If so, will it be legit? Or will it be a Hugo Chavezesque scam?

Welcome to Acirema, where the guilty are rewarded and the innocent are punished. We have become the Dysfunctional States of Acirema.

Are you flying the flag upside down? If not, when? For we are in greater peril than at no other time since 1775. Actually, we are in worse shape. No one will challenge the half breed. Except for a mere handful, there are none like the Founding Fathers.

Where is our Patrick Henry? Where is our George Washington? Where are our Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams? We don’t even have a Paul Revere!

As Tocqueville observed of American political institutions and the public, we would thrive up to the point that the electorate discovered they could raid the treasury through the ballot box.

A bias for normalcy?

False hope?

Lazy?

Its hardening because instead of trying to stop it, people rant to the polls and elected two man to lead the house and senate that literally campaigned on working with Obama.

The people heard that and then voted to empower it. So I don’t blame Barry for doing what he does. He’s a leftist. It’s what they do. I blame the people who were given the opportunity to stop it from advancing and then instead, empowered the two people that told them to their faces that they intended to help him.

People can make all the damn excuses they want. But at the end of the day it’s the people that elected leftist republicans across the country.

THAT is why they tyranny is hardening.

How so? The house and senate leader campaigned on working with the criminal. People voted for that in full knowledge. That isn’t voting for reversal to elect them and the people they in turn supported to have allies in their quest.
