'Shell-shocked' CNBC staffers had long flight home
CNN ^ | 10/30/15 | Brian Stelter

For the CNBC employees who boarded a charter plane right after Wednesday's bruising GOP debate, the redeye flight was physically smooth but emotionally turbulent.

People were exhausted, but also rattled and worried. "We were shell-shocked," one source said.

The poor reviews were piling up - declaring CNBC the biggest loser of the night - and the moderators Carl Quintanilla and Becky Quick knew more would be published by the time the flight landed in New York. So for some flyers, it was a sleepless night. But there was some laughter and some liquor to lighten the mood - and some speculation about how high the ratings would be.

-snip-

At CNBC's sister news outlets MSNBC and NBC News, producers were advised not to "pile on" the moderator controversy, according to people there.

For some reason when I think of Becky Quick, Marie Harf comes to mind.

“Republicans who want to be President of the United States should be able to answer tough questions”

The questions weren’t tough and they were given an appropriate response by the candidates.

Through these propaganda mongers at MSNBC , America got to see liberal fascism in action. It was a wake up call, large:

Ted Cruz pointed out to America how correct the Conservative Republican movement is in facing liberal fascism, and brought in over a million dollars in contributions.

“the worst part of the scandal is the contrast with how democrats are treated.”

I think you’re correct. All we need is for the moderators to treat both parties the same.

The list of things wrong with the CNBC production is too long to write. However, a critical problem was that they put three lightweight liberal losers in the point position. The very reason these three work for such a low rated network is that they can’t get real jobs anywhere else. To think they could hold their own against the likes of Cruz, Trump, Rubio, Fiorina, and Christie is pure idiocy. A looser network has looser hosts. It’s as simple as that.

That’s okay. By late yesterday morning NBC had its people ‘spinning’ it in to a story about thin-skinned republicans whining about people being “unfair” to them.

The “progressive” leftist media lives on.

The Congressional Republican leadership must decide who moderates these debates.

You got it. They will never take the blame. They will never admit to activist journalism. They really do think they did nothing wrong and they really believe that the candidates along with HALF the population deserve to be mocked at every opportunity.
They will simply say that us uneducated racist bible thumpers on the right cannot understand their superior intellect.
I guarantee they feel like victims right now.

Becky gets big interviews with Buffet because he is a dirty old man. That is her only claim to fame.

The questions are designed to elicit sound bites that can be used in Hillary’s campaign commercials. It’s absolutely retarded to have the Republican debates controlled by Democratic “journalists”. The leadership the Republican party is either incredibly stupid after failing to learn such an obvious lesson the last 25 years or they’re intentional throwing the game. It’s time either way for Conservatives to leave the rotting structure and build a new house from the ground up.

They’re not really disagreeing with you. They’re playing a game, popular among those who haven’t yet had enough caffeine, called, ‘Pretend to miss the Point.’

If they had flown home commercial it would have been and even rougher flight. That the whole problem. They never talk to real people.

yes, their intention going in was to make the entire stage look like a laughing stock. Damn with the issues. If they say it wasn’t then they are flat lying.

The worst part is... from a major national news source, the higher-ups on the ladder crafted their scripts.

“They are being celebrated and cheered — in all of the newsrooms and salons of the East Coast corridor.”

Watching Special Report last night, I was absolutely unamazed to hear the “expert” panel’s take on the debate. Consencus seemed to be,
“People who want to be President of the United States should be able to answer tough questions,”
Different channel, same talking heads with different names.

Fantasy football is a tough question??

Yes it actually is. A stupid question in a venue that demands a serious answer is a very difficult situation. Remember that stupid Romney question asking him why he wanted to take away birth control from women. It was a stupid question but the lib controlled venue demanded an answer. UNLESS one pushes back!
