As I said in another thread, CNBC and the moderators got their greatest market share ever and pissed down their legs in front of 14 million people. What started out as a “cage match” ended up with the candidates piling on CNBC and the moderators to the cheers of the audience. I love it!
I would expect to see a LOT more pushing back on the media throughout the rest of the campaign, now that the candidates know it plays well with the electorate.
“It’s called The Trump Effect.”
Yeah, most here already forget that the only reason the others dared attack the kommiemedia the way they did is that many weeks ago Trump FIRST demonstrated that one could attack the biased media, and not only survive, but actually thrive.
Precisely.
Tagline worthy post award!
Thought along the same lines. I kept waiting for Trump to ask her if she had a Warren Buffet-shaped sex toy in her nightstand drawer.
“A stupid question in a venue that demands a serious answer is a very difficult situation.”
Absolutely. And the only intelligent counter is to call out the question as stupid, ignore it, and move on. Christie was brilliant when he did that very thing, and that fool JB tried to provide a serious answer and thus looked like the fool he really is. So, I guess from that perspective, it was indeed a useful question after all.
I think that Marxist John Harwood crafted all the questions and Becky and Carl, both dim bulb affirmative action hires, were handed their questions to ask. All if this was orchestrated at the top and coordinated with the Hillary campaign.
When Trump answered his first question, he was putting the mods and Reince on notice.
I liked the comment by one of the radio pundits about Heb saying that all he seems able to do is recite his resume as a politician. That's the last thing that conservatives who are sick of politicians want to hear. That and a really ill timed attack on Rubio who was having a really good moment.
Your wish is my command:

“I would expect to see a LOT more pushing back on the media throughout the rest of the campaign, now that the candidates know it plays well with the electorate.”
yep, and the candidates now all know how to take control of future debates: tell the questioner how you feel about the question, then ignore the question, and then spend your allotted time to say what you want to say.
“Fantasy football is a tough question??”
Yes. It was the toughest question of the night. Republicans base is white men. They are the primary consumer of fantasy football and would be most affected by it.
The challenge wasn’t what would you do about it so much as how to answer the question without alienating the base.
Nothing changes
Ted Cruz and his brilliant mind, flipped the narrative and broke open the flood gates.
They really hate Ted Cruz, now.
We did the same - we use a Roku.
“three or four topics, 15 or so minutes
each topic and let the candidates address how they would approach the issue,”
Cruz would dominate that. Kasich would have everyone snoring.
If they never got another Republican debate - including the general election - and Republicans refused to go on any of their networks, they would learn.
Unfortunately, the GOPe is spineless unless fighting conservatives.
Easy answer. “Do you really can’t government getting involved with fantasy football and screwing that up too?”
