CNBC's decision to keep the next GOP debate at two hours: "They've been terrific...the only thing I cared about was two hours. I can stand there for 20 hours, but nobody wants to go through a third hour."
A recent column by Peggy Noonan about his numbers being at a plateau: "she's wrong. In South Carolina I have a 20-oint lead. I have leads everywhere. I mean, I think she's great, and she's been very nice to me...she's very good and she's talented and I like her, but it's just the opposite of that.
Tax reform: "We pay the highest taxes in the world...if we don't do something you're going to lose thousands of corporations and companies...I think we have a very dynamic plan and I've got a great response from you and some other people I have great respect for. Some people think it's too much but I don't think it so much.
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders: "When I looked at [them] the other night, it was almost like he couldn't give enough away. I know that's not her belief but she's got to beat that maniac that's running [too.] Eventually you know everything's gonna collapse but in the meantime they can get free education...you want to give everything you can including to illegal immigrants."
Immigration: "We need to have a border...I took a lot of heat the first two weeks ago and then everyone found out that I was right with the killing of Kate [Steinle] and so many others.
Deportation: "President Eisenhower, they took out one and a half million people during his reign in 19533 or 54...Ultimately you want the good ones back and you want the good ones here you want to stay here for a long time.

There he is, using "reign" again. We are not supposed to be electing a Caesar, though with the current occupant and the sycophancy of the Senate especially, who the heck knows?

reign is just a Trump quirk. Don’t pay any attention to the word. People are too stuck on words these days

The usual GOPe strategy was to coalesce behind a single candidate, win the winner-take-all-primaries with a plurality, and the conservatives split the majority but get few if any delegates.
But this year, even if the GOPe coalesced behind one guy, it wouldn’t be enough.
So the GOPe doesn’t have to commit suicide — they’re already at death’s door with regard to the presidential nomination.
At the moment.

FWIW, I thought the strategy was to run "favorite sons" in a lot of states, who would get the pluralities in each one. Then they could've all gone to the convention and coalesced behind the despised Jeb. Maybe they're staying in the race hoping Trump will falter or he and Carson will split the outsider vote and the NRC choice will get a plurality in their respective states. That's why they're still pushing so hard to find an issue to turn people off about Trump.
Just a thought.

Actually, I believe in most cases that people aren't stuck enough on words. They are how we communicate. If the Supreme Court treated words properly, the last few bad Supreme Court decisions could not have come down as they have. The left's ability to change the meaning of words (e.g. marriage) has been a disaster. Orwell's 1984 had the misuse of words as a necessary ingredient in Big Brother's (IngSoc's) hold on Oceania.
That said, I agree with you that people get all fussy on looking to get offended, but that is because they are looking to get offended. Whether it is the proper use of the word "niggardly" or the attempted banning of the "Confederate" flag (Battle flag of northern Virginia), words and symbols are important and powerful, even if the bad guys getting worked up over innocent words and symbols doesn't mean they aren't important. That's why we defend them.
You are probably right about Trump's use of the word "reign", but given he's running for president, I wish he would use the right word.
In case you are wondering, I might be regarded as a "grammar Nazi" by some. I especially dislike the misuse of he word awesome. It is a quirk.

Why Low-Polling Candidates Stay in Race Because those who own the DC professionals want them to keep things business as usual!
But it's just not working out this time. People finally tired of being lied to and conned by these corrupt jackballs.

That sure seemed to be true with Graham. It doesn't work with Rubio, who really wants to be president, and he is in John Ellis Bush's home state. It was not true with Walker, who thought his time had come. I believe that Jindal is running for VP, which he can never admit.

That’s just being silly. The word “reign” gets used pretty loosely. At my workplace, the CEO often refers to the “reign” of his predecessors. Hell, my wife has reign over the house which is why I need to go to Buffalo Wild Wings when I want to watch a football game and have a few beers in some peace and quiet.

I was extrapolating from the past, but the state-by-state favorite-son RINO looks like a more promising strategy for them now.
Good insight!

The question DOES deserve to be asked, though someone ought to put it right to Trump. Like: “You’ve been talking about the ‘reign’ of presidents far back in the 1900. Is reigning like a king the idea you have of the duties of a President?”
