[I didnt know the Russians had a version of a Harrier!]
From a long time ago. Yak-36, eventually the Yak-38.
I don’t know if any of them still fly.

I think it was a reference to the article where it said the Russians were hovering. Regular jets don’t hover, they orbit.

I know. Nonetheless, they DID have a version similar to the Harrier.

As a turkish we really don’t want to fight the russians to defend isis too.Turkey shouldn’t be in the world war 3 but i think this is impossible.by the way there is no confirmation in turkish press. This is just a twitter rumour. At least i really hope so.. I wouldn’t trust nato or usa..

A B61 variant (dash 11) is still around, it seems - it was the various warheads which have been retired (W81, W84, W85) - the current version uses the W80 warhead The latest is B61-12. The -12 has a JDAM-style precision guidance package, and can be carried by the F35 in the internal weapons bay, as well as by the F-16, F-15, and B2.

If true, war between Turkey and Russia is possible.
As I have said before, all of these miscalculations could end up culminating on the plain of Megiddo.

Why no mainstream media reports? Are they deliberately not reporting it by demand of our Pharoah ?

Here is a skeptical report that does not trust the mostly twitter reporting on this (non)event. He also lists a number of useful bits of information for us as we track the continuing hostilities all over. Many comments, too. Mr. Turk, welcome to FR. We need more knowledgeable commentors from throughout the world.

Those are long gone, left service when the Russians got rid of the Kiev Class carriers. The replacement, Yak-141, never made it into service. That aircraft's three-piece rotating rear exhaust nozzle is really similar to the F-35B's ...
Back to the Yak-38, it was much more similar to the German VAK-191 prototype than the Harrier line:

Yeah, just saying it had similar abilities.

Back in 1970 the Soviets sent some of their best MiG drivers to Egypt to intercept Israeli A-4s that we’re hitting SAM sites; Israeli pilots shot 5 Soviet MiGs down with no losses.
