Rep Devin Nunes: Kick All Republicans Who Won’t Support McCarthy On Floor For Speaker Out Of GOP

House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), an ally of House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in the upcoming Speakership elections, tells reporters that he thinks any GOP House member who doesn’t back McCarthy on the floor should be kicked out of the GOP to go form their own third party.

“We’ve been down this road several times and at some point you have to realize how elections work, how the Congress functions and how—what’s laid out clearly in the Constitution as a Democratic Republic,” Nunes says.

Several conservative House members are considering bucking McCarthy on the floor of the House of Representatives. “So you have to caucus as parties and if you don’t like what happened in your party you have to leave and go start your own party. Which is kind of what’s happened anyway, and it’s fine. They have every right to do that.”

McCarthy is presumably going to win at least 125 votes on Thursday for Speaker of the House, which would make him the GOP conference’s designated candidate—essentially a nominee of sorts—but House conservatives could band together to deny anyone the Speakership on the floor of the House on Oct. 29 when the full House votes for a

GOP Leaders are sure eager to become irrelevant. I just wonder how they think they can win if they do not have the conservatives at their side

Guess they will go ahead and join Pelosi in celebrating the death of the party.

If the EXEMPT lying GOP elects this LOSER RINO
(who already OWES Clinton and indebted to Obama)
they will deserve to have hatred for them ratchet up
another five notches.

He’s not telling me anything I don’t already know, I learned my lesson for good and all after the Thad Cochran fiasco. The GOPe seems to believe that it has a plan to win without conservative votes, it seems to me that that’s because they don’t plan to advance the conservative cause. So they don’t need me, and I don’t need them. They can certainly advance the left’s agenda without the help of conservatives.

What I really believe is that the GOP has been infiltrated, as in it was a plan to do so, the same way the left has infiltrated every American institution and turned ot to the left from within.

The GOPe really seeks a Democrat President and Congress. They may well get what they want, just before we become the USSA with a Dear Leader for life.

Love how they just naturally assume that their wing of the party has some sort of divine right that their point of view should always prevail.
They never have the slightest duty to support others, yet they are bold in demanding loyalty from us.

Fine. Leave the GOPe to rot. A new party won’t be subject to the idiotic consent decree that keeps the GOP from challenging the ‘Rats’ massive voter fraud machine.

at some point you have to realize how elections work, how the Congress functions and how—what’s laid out clearly in the Constitution as a Democratic Republic,” Nunes says. "“So you have to caucus as parties and if you don’t like what happened in your party you have to leave and go start your own party."

Uh, sorry Devin, you ignorant twit. The Constitution doesn't even mention parties.

And George Washinton himself warned us of the danger of political parties:

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissention, which in different ages & countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders & miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security & repose in the absolute power of an Individual: and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty." — George Washington, September 19, 1796

Wouldn’t this open the door to this new 3rd party being the instant majority in the House?

I presume that Nunes can now look forward to a primary challenger in the next election cycle.

““We’ve been down this road several times and at some point you have to realize how elections work, how the Congress functions and how—what’s laid out clearly in the Constitution as a Democratic Republic,”

And in a Democratic Republic you vote the way I TELL YOU TO or you can leave, or be thrown out. Remember Trotsky? He found out how voting is done, get the point, chump?

Couple of things from this. First, Nunes is kissing McCarthy's butt in an effort to gain favor because he beleives the fix is in, McCarthy will be the guy. Second, he assumes that the way to win McCarthy over is to insult conservatives.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
