A lawyer who led the fight against Obamacare’s contraceptive mandate, eventually winning the Hobby Lobby case before the Supreme Court, won confirmation by the Senate Tuesday to a federal appeals court. Senators voted 50-47 to confirm Stuart Kyle Duncan to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Only one Democrat, Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, broke with his party to support Mr. Duncan. Other Democrats voiced opposition to Mr. Duncan as an “unfit ideologue” who fought women’s access to reproductive healthcare. They also said his defense of state laws requiring photo-ID to vote,...

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton praised Fox News’s Megyn Kelly as she bashed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump during an appearance on The View Tuesday morning. “The way he treated Megyn Kelly, who is a superb journalist. Right?” Clinton ridiculed, referencing Trump’s treatment of “so many women.” “I just don’t understand what he thinks is the role of somebody who is running for president,” she added, after saying Trump has attacked Mexicans and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) 37% , who Clinton said is “a friend of mine.” “He started on his very first day saying all Mexican immigrants are rapists and criminals,...

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer endorsed GOP frontrunner Donald Trump for president on Saturday. Brewer stated she believes Trump will secure the border: Arizona’s unsecured border is the gateway of illegal immigration into the United States and the politicians in Washington D.C. have continually failed to secure our border. As I’ve always said: A nation without borders is like a house without walls – it collapses. As Arizona’s Governor, I witnessed too much heartache, loss and suffering caused by illegal immigration. I’ve seen communities destroyed by the drugs, gangs, drop houses and cartels. The cost of health care, education and...

Ted Cruz (R-TX) campaign called precinct captains informing them that Dr. Ben Carson was suspending campaigning, and instructing them to tell voters they should "not waste a vote on Ben Carson and vote for Ted Cruz." The calls were placed after the Carson campaign had already clarified that Carson was not suspending his campaign. Nancy Bliesman, a precinct captain for Cruz in Crawford County, Iowa, told Breitbart News that she received two voice mails-one at 7:07 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST),...

MSM CHASING THE "MISTRESS BOMB "BUT IS THERE MORE THAN ONE? Numerous national media outlets are pursuing multiple allegations of infidelity involving U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida , all in the aftermath of the "mistress bomb" report we published earlier this week. Specifically, three mainstream media outlets have independently supplied us with the names of two additional women said to be romantically linked to the GOP establishment's candidate of choice. These names are in addition to the woman we referenced earlier this week , a lobbyist whose alleged proximity to Rubio was discovered during a deep dive into the...

Donald Trump likes to remind America that he's a master dealmaker. "I'm going to make the greatest trade deals we've ever made in our country," he proclaims in his new radio ads. But experts say Trump is talking a lot of nonsense on trade. It isn't backed up by the data. "[Trump] wants to convey as a presidential candidate that any deal that he was not involved with... is by definition an inferior deal because he didn't play a role," says Bernard Baumohl, chief economist at the Economic Outlook Group. GOP frontrunner Donald Trump thinks Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) is “a very nice guy,” but “far from [his] first choice” to be the next Speaker of the House. Trump weighed in on the race for House Speaker on Twitter Saturday morning: “Paul Ryan is far from my first choice, but a very nice guy. The Republicans should go for tough and (very) smart this time – no games!” His tweet comes after CBS News reported that Trump said he would be “okay” with Ryan as Speaker in an interview set to air Sunday on Face the Nation. House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), an ally of House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in the upcoming Speakership elections, tells reporters that he thinks any GOP House member who doesn’t back McCarthy on the floor should be kicked out of the GOP to go form their own third party. “We’ve been down this road several times and at some point you have to realize how elections work, how the Congress functions and how—what’s laid out clearly in the Constitution as a Democratic Republic,” Nunes says. Several conservative House members are considering bucking McCarthy on the floor...

CLEVELAND, Ohio: A Wall Street Journal report suggests that despite critics’ opinions predicting GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s poll numbers would fall, two early – though unscientific – polls predict that may be wrong. “Time Magazine found that Mr. Trump took 47% of nearly 55,000 votes. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) of Florida was in second place with just 10%. The Drudge Report’s poll found more than half of nearly 362,000 voters favored Mr. Trump, well above everyone else,” the Wall Street Journal noted. After Frank Luntz’s made his opinion on Trump’s performance suggesting “tonight his act wore thin,” conservative talk radio...

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly — who has been praised by The New York Times for being a fair and tough journalist — went after GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in the beginning of the primetime GOP presidential primary debate on Thursday. However, when the news anchor questioned the real estate mogul, she legitimized the “war on women” mantra used by the Democratic Party to attack Republicans. Kelly asked, “Mr. Trump, one of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and you don’t use a politician’s filter. However, that is not without its downsides. In particular when it...

GOP presidential candidate Gov. Scott Walker is getting a bump from donors. Unintimidated PAC – an independent organization that is supporting Walker’s candidacy — announced in a press release that it raised more than 20-million dollars from just 300 donors, “securing its place among the top-tier outside groups supporting a presidential candidate.” According to the press release, Unintimidated PAC’s fundraising comes in third place out of all Super PACs supporting GOP candidates this quarter. “The $20 million haul is even more impressive considering that the dollars were raised before Scott Walker officially entered the race for President.” “Governor Walker’s record...

NEW YORK (AP) — Microsoft will cut 7,800 jobs and take a $7.6 billion impairment charge as it attempts to revive its flagging phone hardware business. The company paid $7.3 billion for Nokia’s phone business in April 2014, seeking to push rapidly into the smartphone sphere as its traditional software business slowed. Microsoft ultimately wanted to build an ecosystem that made customers that are loyal to a slew of products, much as Apple and Google have done so successfully.

Gowdy was in South Carolina at an event hosted by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and GOP presidential candidate Gov.
