On Wednesday, Republican presidential candidate and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum went on the left-wing talk show The View, where the debate turned to one of the more persistent myths about Planned Parenthoods services.
In response to Whoopi Goldberg asking of Planned Parenthoods taxpayer funding, What will you replace it with if you take it away? Santorum answered:
Well, first off, Im for reallocating every dollar that goes to Planned Parenthood and put them in womens health centers that actually provide more comprehensive services than Planned Parenthood does. Planned Parenthood, for example, doesnt provide mammograms. Now, I know people say they do, but they dont.
Goldberg interrupted to claim, Yeah, they do, but Santorum responded:
In fact, [Planned Parenthood CEO] Cecile Richards said yesterday in the hearing that, in fact, they do not. In fact, there are no Planned Parenthoods that provide any mammogram services. They basically provide abortion, contraceptive, STDs, things and pregnancy tests. Thats it.

Facts are irrelevant to liberals.....only the narrative, no matter how wrong it is, matters.
Whoopie Goldberg is uneducated yet knows everything .... just ask her.
No way that no talent clown would have had her career if she wasn’t a liberal pig.
They provide STDs? I knew PP was bad, but these sickos are even worse than I thought!! Plus, they provide "things"!
And God help the unsuspecting woman who goes there for a pregnancy test, thinking that she's going to a doctor's office. They will start pressuring her into abortion before they even give her the test--they want to make sure she will sign the paperwork to terminate her kid the moment the test comes back negative.
And I agree with the other poster, providing STDs and things *is* a pretty scummy thing to do.
Umm, don't you mean "positive"?
The women are not that unsuspecting, they go there specifically for abortions. We know it, and they know it.
The imbecile Whoopi Goldberg might have noticed it, had she actually read about or watched the hearings — not only did Cecile Richards say that *no* PP location does mammograms, she added the lie that they’d never claimed to. So, both Richards and Goldberg are liars in the same cause, but tell diametrically opposed lies.
Wish I saw that interview, and thanks for posting this thread.
She's ineducable.
If you go to doctor, he might have an x-ray machine, but more likely he sends you to a lab for the x-ray and then the x-ray is sent to a radiologist or the doctor can send you to the radiologist who has an x-ray machine.
It is obviously better if the doctor sent you to the radiologist but the doctor might make more of a commission from the lab than from the radiologist.
PP is no different, they make commissions on x-rays and the radiologist's examination of the x-ray.
However PP does it, the patient needs a referral.
If we had an honest press - some group like the New York Times could take a look - find out how many ‘mammograms’ were billed to Medicaid from Abortion clinics...My guess is the number will blow us away...

Will someone with a high platform please put out a small reward for anyone who can prove these baby murderers offer mammograms? Just the the global warming hoaxers are shut up by invitations to debate the non-issue this might convince some fence sitters.
Yes, I do.
Oops.
Some women go there because they've seen the ads where PP claims to be there to help. Or because some PP hard-core saleswoman came to their school and told them how great PP is, etc.
PP is all about selling abortion, and they have a very sophisticated methodology for it. But women or girls going to PP offices are often young and naive, and have no idea that PP only looks at them as cash cows.
I do know from personal experience that if a young girl or woman goes to PP because she suspects she might be pregnant, and she has fallen for their lines, she will have to go to a "counselor" who, basically, will try to talk her into abortion before ever giving her a pregnancy test. It is a very high-pressure sales session--the girl talks about why she thinks she might be pregnant--the counselor says, "So, you will be wanting to have an abortion, then?" The girl says no, she just wants the test so that she will know, and, again, "So, you are considering abortion?" Etc. If the girl keeps denying that abortion is an option, the counselor will probably send her away without giving the test.
It is true that many girls go to PP specifically for abortion, and become repeat customers. But that isn't always the case--some go to PP because they really want help, they are confused and don't know where to turn. And all PP does is pressure them into abortion without telling them their options.
