Hey Kevin!

You can’t be effective when you’ve left yourself open to blackmail.

It’s just like the mafia. You can’t be in leadership if they don’t have material on you.

This congressman is in an adulterous relationship with another female member of Congress? This is what we want in the line of presidency?
How about some vetting by a patriot

We should be compelling these candidates to sign a "conservative oath". Seriously. Make them commit right now to fighting for the conservative agenda or shut them down now.

The candidates could score big pushing this right now.

Pretty sure McCarthy has promised them they will not lose their plum committee appointments. In short, he has purchased their support.

If you’re not willing to fight a battle that you are afraid you might not win, then you will never enter the battle. McCarthy is another GOPe squish. He will lead the House to defeat.

The enemy is fighting a constant battle and McCarthy will call for a constant retreat. With McCarthy we have already lost the war.

Where is General Patton when you need him?

“It is incredible that this adulterer thinks he has any business being speaker or that anyone would support him. “

If he truly is in an extramarital relationship with another GOP representative this case shows us how far we’ve fallen. Publicity regarding an extramarital affair used to be death to a political career. Remember Wilbur Mills and Gary Hart? Bob Livingstone in 1998 was the GOP replacement for Newt Gingrich as Speaker of the House until news reports of an extramarital affair resulted in him dropping out of consideration and “retiring” from the House. Donald Trump is the leading GOP contender for the 2016 presidential nomination despite a history of affairs and a string of divorces associated with adulterous relationships.

The GOP used to be the home of the “values” voter. No longer.

Here’s a phrase that’ll curl your hair:
“bring everyone to the table”.................

Everyone... means the dems and there goes our plan for success, because the dems never leave the table until they cower the pubs.

NO

That's what HE wants us to think.

Give Up

Its Over
K street and the DC Uniparty has been spitting out PR story about him being a unifier .
Mccarthy destroyed the CA gop by selling out to Dems 2010 redistricting plan. He saved his seat and wiped out the entire Ca state house districts ,

Mccarthy is the WORST option.
He is nasty creature who despises the Base and hates Conservatives.
He just like Rubio is owned by Zuckerberg !
Mccarthy will RAM thru Amnesty and TPP disaster before Trump scares off more Congressmen ! http://www.latimes.com/local/politics/la-me-gop-silicon-valley-20140908-story.html

I have always been puzzled, and suspicious, as to why a politician thinks it is necessary, when the he is desperately trying to win an office, that he will say “I’m fighting to win”. Does he believe that we think he is fighting to lose?

That kind of thinking is why some people did not take Trump seriously when he announced. They are beguiled by their own nonsense.

““I’m willing to fight but I want to fight to win,” McCarthy said”

This “pick the battles you can win” philosophy just doesn’t work. They need to fight to wear down the opposition. Instead, they’re like offensive linemen who only block when the QB is throwing long or when running the gadget play that might go for a TD. They need to stop taking plays off and block for the handoff up the middle, block for the short pass to the TE, and just hit the opposition at every opportunity.

They are going to be called obstructionists, ideologues, etc., anyway, so they might as well obstruct and fight for ideals.

“He continued to say that the “culture” he’d set as speaker is that “everybody gets a voice” — even the opposing side.”

Just like Pelosi did. < /sarc>

From your link.If this is not Boehner 2.0 I dont know what it,really looks bad.
.................
The affair is something of an open secret in Washington, D.C. Reporters at other publications, lobbyists, congressional staffers of both parties all know about it. One staffer for a congressman describes it as the “biggest open secret” in D.C. A lobbyist describes Ellmers as a “social climber who has ingratiated herself” with McCarthy.

House leadership also knows about the affair. Speaker John Boehner reportedly told McCarthy to stop the affair once McCarthy was elected Majority Leader says a well placed congressional staffer. At least one leadership staffer doesn’t think the affair ended. “They are unusually close,” says the staffer who insists that the affair is going on. “It’s weird if he’s not f*cking her.”

Ellmers, who was elected in 2010, has traveled with Kevin McCarthy throughout North Carolina on the campaign trail in 2014. McCarthy campaigned for Ellmers during her 2014 primary challenge with radio talk show host Frank Roche.

…Calls and emails to Reps. Ellmers’s and McCarthy’s offices were unreturned.
......................
I have heard that if a ground swell of support were to pop up for Trey Gowdy he would be interested.

Yep, that’s a huge red flag for me too.

We have the most leftward president in our history and a Republican majority in the House and Senate and this guy is promising to ‘bring everyone to the table’.

He’s not a leader and should not be in a leadership role.

I can’t help but laugh at all politicians when they use the term “fight”

XM Patriot channel has a clip of various candidates saying a quick line, pulled from stump speeches and interviews. In it you hear Lindsay Graham saying, "I'm ready to fight for you" in a Lindsay Graham voice and there certainly is no one laughing at Lindsay.

Oh wait, scratch that. Everybody is laughing at Linda and the thought of her fighting. Meow.
