California Republican Carly Fiorina said Friday it is "insulting" for radio host Rush Limbaugh to call a student activist a "slut" and "prostitute" because she is pushing for employers to pay for contraception.
"That language is insulting in my opinion," said Fiorina, who launched an unsuccessful Senate bid against longtime California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer in 2010, on "CBS This Morning."
"It's incendiary and most of all, it's a distraction. It's a distraction from what are very real and important issues," the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard said.
At least one advertiser, The Sleep Train, has pulled its advertising from Limbaugh's radio show as a result of his comments.
"We don't condone negative comments directed toward any group. In response, we are currently pulling our ads from Rush with Rush Limbaugh," the mattress retailer said via Twitter.
Limbaugh has come under fire in recent days for comments he made Wednesday about Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown Law School student who had hoped to testify earlier this month in a House oversight committee hearing on the White House contraception rule.
Fluke, a women's health activist who says her friend lost an ovary due to lack of contraceptive care, was turned away from the hearing by Republican leadership, but told her story in a mock congressional hearing later in the month. In her testimony, Fluke largely discussed the high cost of contraception and the important medical benefits it can offer women.

Sandra Fluke was hardly a “student”. She was 32 year old when attending Georgetown. The slut comment was in response to her testimony to congress where she revealed it cost her $3000 a year in contraception expenses. This means she would have had to have sex 9 times a day for an entire year to justify the $3000 cost. Is seems to me that is the very definition of a slut/prostitute. Rush was right.
The problem I foresee with Ms Fiorina is similar to Obama back in2008. Just as he has made race the cornerstone of everything negative in American politics, so I believe Carly will do with women’s rights. They both have tunnel vision for their pet pieces while America needs a patriotic leader who will help everyone improve with strong American values.
And Rush isn’t politically correct and I am glad he isn’t. I am insulted by the idea that fluke is wanting others to pay for her preventive birth control.

I first thought that the intent was to fake mispronunciation of ‘her’ name using another four-letter word beginning with “f” and ending in “k”. That one seemed obvious.
Clearly “birth control” was not going to be much of a problem for the “girl”. It AGAIN seemed obvious that she was “batting for the other team” and pregnancy was not an option.
Rush just took EVERYTHING strictly at face value—so they were left with this lame kerfuffle.
Hell he only called her a slut and if you heard her that is exactly what she was professing. How many dollars a month was she saying it cost her for birth control, thousands.
Fiorina is a huge fan of Hillary Clinton and has tried to back away from the damning videos of her praising Clinton. She can’t back away from them. They’re fact. If this life-long loser was to somehow get the GOP nomination Clinton would hang those comments around her neck the exact same way Obama thanked Mittens for coming up with the idea for ObamaCare. And I’ve not even mentioned her firing from HP. Boxer destroyed her on that issue alone. For the sake of the GOP she needs to end her campaign.

and even with that tirade against Rush, she was not able to unseat an unpopular loser Boxer. BTW, has she posted any actual plans as yet albeit the establishment candidates point to Trump not being specific. He has been more specific than she has or any of the rest of the loser establishment candidates except Bush who is basically pushing open borders and national directed education.
