While drawing a contrast between himself and Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton, Cruz pointed to the nuclear deal with Iran, saying he would “rip to shreds” the agreement if elected president.
“If you vote for Hillary you are voting for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons,” he said. “If you vote for me, under no circumstances will Iran be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. And if the ayatollah doesn’t understand that, we may have to help introduce him to his 72 virgins.”
Cruz was referencing the Muslim belief that Islamic extremists get 72 virgins in the afterlife upon martyrdom.

I think most people aren’t plugged into politics right now...unless there is a lot of name recognition or publicity.
As the field thins...things could change. Cruz seems to be conserving his funds so he can go the distance. (jmho)
There is something there that is for sure. I am sorry for your candidate. Maybe he can still somehow get in but it looks dismal.
I kind of think/believe that the US should have stayed out of the muzzies quagmire altogether. Of course I realize the Saudi sheiks needed a friend like the Bush family to prevent such a show down.
Or they could be 72 ex’s, which is quite possibly as close as you get.

In 2012 Rick Santorum went into Iowa in 4th place in the polls and emerged with a win.

Mr. Cruz has let loose his kick-ass persona.
He became complicit in the farce of the Iran deal when he stood up FOR Iran and Obama and AGAINST Israel when he voted for the Corker bill.
That's the bill that the self proclaimed "constitutionalist" voted away his constitutional right of veto for the Iran treaty.
Because of his Corker vote alone Cruz the fraud is toast and not worthy of ANY public office.
BTW, don't think Trump won't rightfully use that vote against Cruz if and when he ever has to...
