Let Russia deal with ISIS in their own way. Then make all these immigrants go back to Syria.
The divider in chief wants a Islamic state it seems and he certainly won’t do anything , but pin pricks against ISIS or radical Islam.

Why they are allowed to remain here all these years doing what they do, as obvious as it is, is the puzzling thing.

I don’t think Putin cares either way now...he knows Obama’s out soon and whatever he’s going to do needs to get done within the next months, besides Obama doesn’t listen to the Military leaders anyway.......likely why Obama would agree to anything or anyone putting an end to what’s happening in Syria....he has absolutely no clout whatsoever... somehow you can be sure, though, Obama will toot his own horn no matter who calms the fire in Syria.

No, I think it was its simplicity and inability to go anywhere outside of that little circular track. I was fond of it though. It was rather quaint.

Remember Obama “has a pen and a phone”. Well, the pen is used to sign illegal treaties while the phone is something he sits on till the sun don’t shine.

Obama’s plan is to “stall and jaw” while Putin’s is to crippled ISIS in Syria (not in Iraq, that’s an Iran’s area of operations), and to become the de facto puppet master of Assad.

That has long been a Soviet/Russian plan, to take over vassal states in the Middle East. They did it in the 1950s/60s with Egypt and Syria, and they are doing it again.

The ultimate goal is to cut the US off from the Middle East, period, specifically the Syria/Iran/Iraq region, while gaining significant influence, if not control over Hezbollah and possibly Fatah (they once had it) and Hamas, Lebanon and even Jordan. Ultimate goal is the oil fields of Saudi Arabia. Yemen is important for cutting off the Red Sea/Suez Canal shipping route.

Remember, Soviet and Egyptian pilots fought against the conservatives in Yemen in the 1960’s, used poison gas, too.

Israel will be isolated and possibly turned into a Soviet/Iranian vassal, or vaporized.

Egypt, Libya, Tunisia could fall under the Russian Bear later on.

Meanwhile, Obama will be long gone to academia but his treason will live on.

Then they

The Syrian civil war began when Obama made the foolish statement that Assad had to go. It created a potential power vacuum and various groups attempted to grab power from the government. The result was collateral damage to civilians caught in between.

I wish we’d quit meddling in the Middle East. I haven’t seen any accomplishment from our actions, except our American military lives lost and shattered and being warn out, bigger deficits and debt, and more turmoil. Screw the Middle East and rebuild America.

What happened in Syria is no different that if any group or groups tried to wrest power from the USA government be they internal D or R via a civil war, there would be enormous casualties. Governments will use force to retain power.

Putin will end up getting Christians killed too. Chicoms, Soviets and Iranians, along with their Hezbollah buddies running around Syria=No good for Christians.

That’s when the Syrian Civil War began? Gee, I guess those corpses of protesters in the street and the 40 years of gangster rule by the Assads had nothing to do with it.

ISIS is full of Chechens, top-ranking: http://www.syriahr.com/en/2015/09/chechens-face-an-epic-battle-in-syria/

There may be something to it that Russia wants to fight the battle there rather than at home. And Russia does seem to be getting a somewhat respectable alliance, talking to the Israelis and so on. My uneducated view is they seem to be going about this the correct way.

“Syrian counter-intelligence always considered these ethnic groups “non-Arab”. We need to recall anti-Russian hatred that manifested itself early in the Syrian revolt, which featured the burning of Russian flags and other violent acts. In addition, when speaking of Chechens in Syria, there needs to be an important distinction of who is actually a Chechen or is instead related to another ethnic group from the Russian Federation. Clearly, the festering ethnic issue of minorities in the Levant may rise up; Moscow and Damascus should take note.”

Interesting to follow the developments in Syria now that Putin's stepped up....it's pretty obvious he has decided deployment of Russian warplanes and armoured vehicles is necessary to prevent Assad's capital from falling into the hands of ISIS and or ISIL militants.... and further threatened to launch air strikes against ISIL within days.....

Also interesting that this in the shadow of the meeting Putin had with BIBI recently... not surprising with Obama not being present in pretty much everything regarding Syria...which Putin is more than happy to fill that vacuum.

Some are saying that Putin dispatching the Russian Air Force in support of Assad may also have been a true political masterstroke....Putin said all along and repeatedly that the Syria crisis can only be resolved by strengthening government structures...he also said from the get go that Obama's threats to the Assad government would only bring further terrorists into the country. It's played out exactly as that.

At any rate...here's some interesting tidbits:

....... Hezbollah Terror Group Pulling Out of Syria

....... Yesterday Germanys Merkel said she supported Russia’s position that Assad should be included in any negotiating process on Syria’s future.

.......And of course once Putin moved to act within days NOW Obama will meet face-to-face with Putin on Monday..... top priority of course...Syria.....bringing up the rear as usual in order to say he had his finger in the outcome.

Check this out Bean...pretty interesting....

Here’s how the Russian Air Force moved 28 aircraft to Syria (almost) undetected....

"Someone who has had access to the imagery in the public domain, noticed something interesting on one of the runways which was almost impossible to verify unless more high-resolution images become available..........While satellite shots provided much details about the deployed assets, they obviously didn’t help answer the basic question:.. how did they manage to reach Syria undetected?

Additionally... it's rumored that Israeli intelligence may have know about this covert ferrying operation in advance. According to one source the Russian combat planes had probably deployed to Latakia trailing the cargo planes that were tracked flying to Syria and back on Flightradar24.com, something that other analysts have also suggested.

There is someone who believes that during their ferry flight, some if not all the formation (each made of a cargo plane and four accompanying fast jets), may have made a stopover in Iran before flying the last leg to Latakia. This would also explain why some Il-76s (with an endurance that would allow a non-stop fly from Russia to Latakia) were observed stopping at Hamadan on Sept. 18-19, just before the Sukhois started appearing on the tarmac at Latakia.

Also interesting is the activity of several Israeli aircraft, including a G550 “Nachshon Aitam,” a sort of mini-AWACS equipped with 2 L-band antennas, on both sides of the fuselage, and 2 S-band antennas, on the nose and tail of the aircraft.

The G550, a so-called CAEW (Conformal Airborne Early Warning) asset, flew a mission over the eastern Mediterranean Sea off Lebanon on Sept. 20 (and could be tracked online on Flightradar24.com…).

Obama made the foolish statement that Assad had to go.

I think when politicians like Obama have no clue they make these grandiose statements it is because they have no clue what is going on. How do you walk back such a statement? It's bad diplomacy. Diplomacy does not only mean being nice and having manners - it is strategy. Obama is just an amateur on the world stage - Kerry and Clinton both are used to grandstanding rather than actual foreign diplomacy also.

What ever the “deal” actually is, one thing is clear - it is on Russia’s terms. Further, the continued build up of Russian ground, naval and air assets are not just there to battle ISIS or replace Assad.

1000 Russian marines for the 810 battalion are there (and currently engaged with Hezbollah and Syrian troops in taking an ISIS held airfield); 1000 Kornet antitank missiles; R-166-0.5 signals vehicles (long range - for use by Russian troops only); MiG 31 interceptors and SU-30 multi-roles; one nuclear armed Typhoon sub the Dmitri Donskoy (TK-208). To name some components arriving.

And of course one ring to rule them all: the SA-300 systems. This precludes the formerly free hand that Israel had in the air over Syria, Lebanon, and Israel itself and precludes any strike on Iran by any one.

The additional Chinese naval and air assets scheduled to arrive soon in Syria are likely there for practice and any and all intel they can gather.

Don’t worry, Obama and Hillary have it firmly under control - just witness the extensive media coverage ... The Middle East is gone as far as US influence, and possibly even Israel will be gone before the next President takes office, unless we also become embroiled in the coming nuclear exchanges between Iran and Israel - wherein Israel ceases to exist, and the mad mullahs of Iran achieve their life-long religions dreams.

You can see how unimportant and boring this whole thing is when we have so many LIVs and under 40s crowd following the breathless pronouncements of the likes of the Kardashians ... while so many others follow the Donald and his amazing three-ring acts. Opps, sorry Trumpinator, but there is little substantive difference between the Donald and the Kardashians.

No, these would have been Iranian nationals. The actions against them would have been focused on their doing mission work among Muslims, I have little doubt. I think that’s the real issue.

Yes, they are "Iranian nationals" but they belong to Christian churches that are 'foreign' Christian churches. Native Christians in Iran are Assyrian and Armenian Orthodox churches and have been there since the time of the apostles.

The way these communities survive is to not proselytize between themselves. I know it is not ideal and in no way did I imply Iran is a "free" country. But it's better on the NATIVE populations of Christians than the Sunni Wahhabists have shown to be.

I am kind of shocked how little western Christians seem to care about the Catholics and Orthodox living in Muslim countries.
