Russian marines join Hizballah in first Syrian battle
– a danger signal for US, Israel

September 24, 2015
"Before dawn on Thursday, Sept. 24, Russian marines went into battle
for the first time since their deployment to Syria, debkafile’s military
and intelligence sources reveal. Russian Marine Brigade 810 fought
with Syrian army and Hizballah special forces in an attack on ISIS forces
at the Kweiris airbase, east of Aleppo.

The offensive to regain Kweiris airbase that fell to ISIS in mid-June
is the first step in the implementation of Russia’s operational plan for the Aleppo area.

...the Russian forces launched their attack on ISIS shortly after the
announcement of Allen’s upcoming resignation ...

the most ominous aspect for the US and Israel of the Russian attack on the Syrian airbase
is that Russian marines were combined with Syrian and Hizballah special forces.
For the first time in 41 years, since the 1974 war of attrition against the IDF on the Golan,
Russian troops are fighting alongside Syrian forces."

That’s what I’m thinking.

Debka is speculative but reasonable.

I dont know. I’m lost.

Obama doesn’t seem to want to stop ISIS or could have killed it from the beginning when it was on convoy

Yet he makes insane nuke deal with Iran, a shia country and enemy of ISIS.

perhaps he just likes to arm muslims.

russia could be in the game for multiple reasons, one of which could be crushing any silly caliphate before it turns into a threat for them.

Israel has enough problems with its own borders and an insane country getting nukes. Iran of course.

Europe is crumbling so not sure where NATO will be in 5 to 10 years as a force to be reckoned with.

Dont have enough military knowledge to know if the US is still light years ahead of everybody on the battlefield and on the oceans.

Debka has certainly published articles that are totally malarkey, I’d take anything they say with a canister of Morton’s salt.

That said, this article does not seem to be an especially big deal or leap, supposedly, Hizballah would be allied with the Russians.

Anything from DEBKA should be read with a grain of salt. But it could be true.

Debka is speculative but reasonable.

I stopped paying attention to Debka when they reported that war with Iran was imminent because we had moved a second carrier into the Gulf. I was on one of those carriers and knew it was nothing more than a routine turnover that takes place about every five months.

Putin has out-maneuvered Obumf**k again. Russia is going to take out ISIS, and that puts the US in a position to either 1) help Russia, and attack ISIS, 2) support ISIS, or 3) do nothing.

Dempsey said that the fight against ISIS would take twenty years or more. The Russians will likely take them out relatively soon. We could have done that too, but Obama apparently has no interest in actually destroying ISIS.

Putin is going to win another round, and much of the world will cheer him on, because he’s taking on ISIS in a genuine way.

We have a nearly suicidal foreign policy.

They are over the top. Once we look past Debka’s “hair on fire” drama, however, there are some kernels of appropriate concern. Use only as directed.

Who does ISIS ultimately work for? The Saudis or someone? Whose funding them? It isn’t Iran, they both dream of running the new Caliphate.

Debka is thought to be run by some intelligence services (probably Israeli). It is used to float trial balloons, spread rumors to gauge reactions, relay facts but spin them in an odd way to gauge reaction, and sometimes even to break actual news. It is interesting, but not really reliable.

According to the Obama Iran deal, the US may be as well!

Trump: Iran Deal Requires U.S. Protecting Iran in Event of Israeli Strike

by Jacob Kornbluh
Sept 2, 2015

In a phone interview with CNN Tuesday evening, Trump claimed that there’s “something in the Iran deal” that “people don’t understand” saying if someone attacks Iran, “we have to come to their defense.”

“Does that include Israel?” Trump asked. “And most people say yes, they don’t have an exclusion for Israel. So if Israel attacks Iran, according to that deal, I believe, the way it reads, unless they have a codicil or they have something to it, that we have to fight with Iran against Israel.” ..."

Trump was most probably referring to language highlighted by the opponents of the deal. On page 142, the deal includes a clause that states, “Co-operation through training and workshops to strengthen Iran’s ability to protect against, and respond to nuclear security threats, including sabotage, as well as to enable effective and sustainable nuclear security and physical protection systems.”

Washington-based Center for Security Policy asserted that Annex III appears “to commit the United States and other world powers to the defense of Iran’s nuclear program.”

Agreed!

It makes my day to know while drinking my morning coffee that Russian Mothers and Fathers will be mourning the loss of their sons rather than American moms and dads mourning the loss of theirs.

And for WHAT?! These insects have been fighting each other for many centuries!!! And, they will be fighting each other for many centuries to come. Give both sides more bullets and more guns and then tell both sides to sic em! It’s Gods population control!!

If Russia is fighting along side Hesbollah...doesn’t it naturally follow that Russia would extend it’s Air Force to cover their homeland of Lebanon?

When your enemies (ISIS & Hezbollah) are trying to kill each other, I suggest not interfering. Sit back and watch.
