"Meanwhile, the Russkies are sending 170 bombers to Syria alone."

The SU-24 is a light bomber not unlike our old FB-111. Russia has about 450 of those.

Also, the dumb-assed Iranians likely call anything that can drop a bomb a "bomber" opening the definition up to all attack aircraft.

It's the 700 tanks that I find odd. Perhaps here too, the dumb-assed Iranians refer to any armored vehicle as a "tank".

Good point. Russia isn’t constrained by the self hating politically correct lawyers within the U.S. who keep US forces from facing and fighting like is required in hell that war is.

Russia may be our world adversary, but they do require respect for their strengths.

Yep. I don’t think people are putting this together here. All the gear and logistics, most of it anyway, is now firmly in place for Gog’s invasion of one tiny nation of Hebrews.

To put an end to their military adventurism.

Russia won’t be alone....there is a coalition now

Well, at the risk of sounding isolationist...perhaps it’s good to let Russia have at it while we get our c*ap together back home. Definitely keep an eye on it and keep a strong presence, carry a big stick, but let them leave blood/treasure over there. We’ve got a lot of things to take care of here before we go spending money we don’t have and putting our military in a fight our President won’t give them the authority to win. Let them break their bank doing it.

Maybe they should have ended our military adventurism in Iraq. That way maybe Iraq would not have gone from 10% Christian down to 0% Christian.

You know I understand our interest in how Syria plays out. Obammy wants ISIS to and the brotherhood to win out, our conservatives want to protect Israel etc. I can’t figure out why Russia cares about Syria? I guess for a staging point?? I dunno.

"With Russians ISIS (Dash) will face an enemy that can be as barbaric as they are or worse! "

It's not the barbarism that's going to be an issue for ISIS.

It's the cold, calculated expertise of a modern army...the first they have faced.

And, the last.

A bunch of street thugs with cameras are about to get their asses handed to them.

According to Iraq. Even I can remember Russia faking out the American analysts with scores of mock aircraft. What definition of bomber is in use here, a Cessna with a bomb slung under it could be called a bomber............by some.

Uh oh. The NWO will not like this one little bit. Their plan to have ISIS take over the Middle East in order to justify WW3 is looking a little sick.

Time for a nice, big false flag, boys!

I digress, but I am curious. When did Russians fake out American analysts with scores of fake aircraft? Not that I question if they did but what numbers did we miscalculate? I know we underestimated the Soviet nuclear stockpile by over 10,000 warheads.

How many ISIS wolves in Syrian refugee clothing will the US end up with?

Once Russia pacifies the place then there won't be any reason not to help them go home, will there?

Why not just occupy Syria? It’s citizens have all fled to Europe anyway, so it should be an easy task for Putin.

I may be wrong about the mock aircraft photographed by early reconnaissance flights , though I have distinct recollections of reading about them, there is however this, which is factual.

Appearance of the Bomber gap

On February 15, 1954, Aviation Week published an article describing new Soviet jet bombers capable of carrying a nuclear bomb to the United States from their bases in Russia.[3] The aircraft they referred to was the Myasishchev M-4 Bison. Over the next year and a half these rumors were debated publicly in the press, and soon after in the United States Congress.[4]

Adding to the concerns was an infamous event in July 1955. At the Soviet Aviation Day demonstrations at the Tushino Airfield, ten Bison bombers were flown past the reviewing stand, then flew out of sight, quickly turned around, and flew past the stands again with eight more, presenting the illusion that there were 28 aircraft in the flyby. Western analysts extrapolated from the illusionary 28 aircraft, judging that by 1960 the Soviets would have 800.[5]

You don’t need 100,000 troops to stop ISIS. You certainly don’t need 170 bombers. 700 tanks?

However, if you wanted to push the US out of the Middle East . . .

All I know is that’s a lot of hardware. In doing some book research, I actually have some math on it.

12 to 14 vehicles per company. 3 companies per battalion. 3 battalions per brigade. 3 brigades per division. All of this not counting another full brigade of infantry that usually goes along with an armored division. Also, not including a logistical brigade that keeps all of this moving.

That works out to about 400 tanks per DIVISION. Putin’s moved TWO armored divisions into Syria. He’s also moved 100,000 infantry. If you round up, not down, that is 20,000 men per infantry division, which makes FIVE INFANTRY DIVISIONS. Typically, there’s about 10,000 men per division, but 20,000 is a large division.

OK, so that is 2 armored, 5 infantry divisions. In WWII terms, that is two Armored Corps. A Corp is made up of two or more divisions of military assets. These corps consist of at least three divisions a piece, or six a piece if the Russians assign only 10,000 infantry per corps.

Let’s talk just the bombers, all 170 of them.

20 planes per squadron, three squadrons per wing, three wings per group. 180 planes per group.

Putin’s got an entire bomber group in Syria. Bombers generally don’t go anywhere without fighters, but there is no news report on that.

All told, Putin has moved two Army Corps and one Bomber Group into Syria.

The US has a Tank Division in Saudi Arabia. One division.

From the overhead cam in the stadium, it looks to me like the Chinese are getting ready to push us out of Asia, and the Russians are getting ready to push us out of the Middle East, and it looks like they are getting ready to coordinate this activity at the same time.

How this is not leading the news, or causing R Senators and Congress people to crap their nickers is beyond me.

Time’s running out. 18 months left before Obola leaves. He’s cut the military, and we’ve already conceded we can’t fight two theaters.

If you were Putin, would you hock the wedding china to consolidate all the oil right now?

Add an EMP attack on the US and we go from first to worst inside of a single calendar day.

Maybe that’s why that General - the one overseeing the task force on dealing with ISIS quit yesterday. He’s probably moving his family to Canada, or Costa Rica.

Well they are probably including mostly medium bombers and attack aircraft in that number. But your point is sound.
