After The View’s Joy Behar voiced offhand bewilderment as to why nurse and Miss America contestant Kelley Johnson was wearing a “doctor’s stethoscope,” nurses were understandably rustled. On today’s episode Behar went on to dig that hole a little deeper saying she wasn’t trying to be funny (good, because nobody is laughing) and that she merely “wasn’t paying attention.”
“Let me speak for myself. Apparently I was just not paying attention," Behar said. "I was looking at a Miss America tape and there's a woman wearing like an outfit with a stethoscope, and I'm thinking, ‘Is she in costume?’ I didn't know she was a nurse. I’m used to seeing them in gowns and bathing suits. It is not like I was trying to be funny. It was stupid and inattentive on my part. I didn’t know what the hell I was talking about.”
Um, Ms. Behar? This is what we call a “not-pology.” We’re all happy how much you love nurses and that you can admit when you aren’t paying a....

That’s what I was thinking! Behar sees a WOMAN in scrubs and a stethoscope and immediately assumes it’s a costume. The WOMAN couldn’t possibly be a medical professional; nope, just wearing a costume, according to Behar. If the NOW has any integrity, it should be all over this (but they don’t and she’s a lib, so they won’t).

In fairness, pretty much everyone else on that stage _was_ wearing a costume. Mundane work uniforms are not expected during a beauty pageant.
She’s a hateful, ignorant hag, but I’ll cut her some slack here. She undoubtedly thought it was a pageant contestant dressed up to play nursey. She probably never considered that a Miss America contestant could have skills beyond fake boobs and butt implants. I’m sure she wasn’t trying to insult nurses, just pageant contestants.

Well...I definitely wasn’t watching the pageant and wouldn’t know that others were wearing costumes, too. Oh well, it changes my opinion of Joy Behar not one bit. :)

Why they keep recycling these leftist hags is beyond me. Both her and Rosie left, yet they brought both back. Rosie imploded, gone. Behar appears to not be long for the show as well.
