I’m not sure I agree completely with Ben Carson on that – as far as I’ve heard, the component price of produce having to do with labor is about 10%. So DOUBLING the wages you pay someone would only mean a 10% raise in the price of tomatoes. Would Americans be willing to pick tomatoes if they were paid $15-$20 an hour? I have a feeling they would.

Carson and others over the years fall for this BULLSHIT ... we have several seasonal farm worker programs that have been in use for years. Also Americans do not want to work for $8.50 an hour that the Illegal Alien Wage Busters have driven wages down to ... Americans want what all other Americans want - a decent wage - not one gutted by Mexicans who chose to live 10 people to a household in order to get by on those kind of wages... Prior to the Illegal Alien surge around 2003 or so Brick Layers and Meat Packers were making about $18.00 / hour ... now it is $8.50...
And their presence - stealing jobs at lower wages has decimated blue collar jobs for White and Black Americans
I saw the interview; it is not what he said at all. What he said was without the guest worker program, a tomato might cost, say $3 instead of $1, and maybe people would be OK with that, but it is a conversation we as a nation need to have,

The fact that Black Americans do not seem to realize the DIRECT effect of the illegal alien invasion of the past 20 years is totally amazing.
While most everyone in the blue collar job market has been negatively affected... Blacks have been negatively affected the most. And they just swallow the Democrat lies and have the highest unemployment rate in America...
Being a Slave to the Democrats does not seem to bother most Blacks ...

That's where things like traffic stops come into play.
Been thinking for a while that the backbone of Trump’s support stems from his firm position on Illegal Immigration. I suspect that most of the “real” voters in this Country, including those who gained citizenship legally, are offended by granting some sort of special status to those who’ve come here illegally.
That being said, I too watched the Carson interview and felt he (like most of the others) was open to some sort of worker program, saying it’s unrealistic to deport all those here illegally. In other words, he appears on the cheap labor express, indicating prices we pay would go up.
His stories about American workers unwilling to take $11 an hour jobs sounds absurd from what I see.
To me, this makes Carson another who is either out of touch, believes the media mantra, or just doesn’t care what the average “real” voter feels.
I think blacks are slowly coming to realize what has happened as they see more and more non-black faces on TV that aren’t white either. While the enemedia will still run interference for our globalist overlords, what is becoming more difficult to hide (than the complete displacement of blacks in the blue-collar workforce) is their displacement in the white-collar workforce (akin to what is happening to white Americans as Asians are trafficked here to replace them in offices). Blacks that started making some headway into the middle class, while not a large percentage of the population, had a brief taste of prosperity and now it is being taken from them. They aren’t so easily led as their less-educated counterparts, and I’d imagine they are the ones who did NOT vote for Obama.
Key point. The Mexicans are all on that.

there are a LOT of young folk in our country who would love to have a job as a carpenter, house painter, machinist, roofer, auto mechanic, grounds keeper (arborest?) or any number of jobs that the illegals take in today's labor market.... You'll have a hard time convincing me that our young Americas JUST LOVE FLIPPING BURGGERS....
The problem is the illegals work for half of the money that's necessary to support a family....The trades use to pay well, you could raise your kids with a decent income.... Now days they want to pay you five bucks an hour to roof a house in Georgia in August.... Now THATS a tough job.... But I'm sure there are a lot of young AMERICAN men that would be willing to do the job if the pay was right.... Better then flipping' burgers...any day.!
There was a politician once (I don't recall the schmucks name) who said he just didn't understand what the commotion was all about....after all the foreigners coming in were only taking the unskilled jobs like auto mechanics and that sort of thing..... To him, I suppose, the only skilled work left in the U.S. is LAWYER..!!

Yeah... But it seems to be beyond the concept of a lot of people. For example, my Mom is pretty conservative, even leaning Trump right now, but she doesn’t seem to comprehend that the State she lives in (IL) is basically beyond broke.
First, if the illegals were deported, America would need less food. Second, if the lazy welfare freeloaders were cut off from the government teet, they would be more than willing to take those jobs.
In my opinion, Carson is a nice man, but he would be a weak leader. He kinda makes me think of Carter, YIKES....
