VIENNA Pope Francis on Sunday called on every parish, religious community, monastery and sanctuary in Europe to shelter refugees fleeing death from war and hunger, adding that the Vaticans two parishes would lead the way by taking in two families.
In a speech to thousands of people in St. Peters Square, the pope said it was not enough to say have courage, hang in there to those marching toward what he described as lifes hope.
Referring to the tragedy of tens of thousands of refugees that flee death in conflict and hunger and are on a journey of hope, Francis said, according to Vatican Radio, the Gospel calls us to be close to the smallest and to those who have been abandoned. He specifically asked that the European bishops support the effort.

g like taking somebody out of context dirt bag
They’ll murder their hosts.
That “Hispanic bishop” (Archbishop Gomez of LA) is actually very good and very conservative. He was passed over for cardinal, in fact, because he didn’t toe the Mahony/Francis line. Believe me, he’s not the one Mahony would have picked.
The big question in my mind is why Mahony, just shy of 80 (non-voting age), somebody who bankrupted his diocese because of his protection of homosexual youth-abusing clergy (and was spared revelation of his own involvement because he was a leftist and the press protected him), and somebody who destroyed respect for Catholicism in Los Angeles, is swanning around Rome and appears to be a bosom buddy of PF.
Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware Gomez was conservative. And Mahony in Rome — that figures. He can’t be touched there.
I heard that the Vatican has opened the square to anyone who needs to have a place to sleep,or take a dump or piss....
exchange needles or have sex out in the open...
spread the good word.
What families? Its all able-bodies young men.
Classic economic migrants. Men go first and bring their women later. Real refugees don’t leave the women and children at home to be bombed, raped or whatever.
These “refugees” are passing through numerous safe countries to get where the most gold is: Germany, Sweden, etc.
You cannot flee hunger. It stays with you. You have to hunt or grow food.
You cannot flee poverty. You take it with you. You have to be productive. Barter and sell. That can eliminate poverty.
If you just flee, hunger and poverty accompany you and you impoverish those whom you ask to help you.
Isn't it obvious? It is contrived to persuade you to accept the Pope's proposal to adopt communism. It is a progressive script they are following.
DO NOT FALL FOR IT.
Teach them to grow and harvest food, raise animals and birds for food.
Teach them to produce more so they can trade, barter, sell and gain some money and eventually wealth. Teach them to pray for God's help and to thank God for helping them succeed.
Give them a constitution with a bill of rights so they can resist or overcome persecution.
Hope Pope Softy also advised any who might accept Muslim “refugees” to keep sharp objects under lock and key. Decapitation is a pain in the neck.
Muslim Brotherhood? I wonder if they are connected to this?
Agree!
I am Catholic. This Pope needs to go.
I have very mixed feelings about this myself, considering that I live a little over 2 hours away from the first site of the 9/11 attacks and now with at least one of the new towers having just open up during this year.
.....And also the same Mahony who had built one of the worse looking cathedrals in America. Remove the cross and it would look like a shopping mall.
Heard it was because Pope Benedict XVI Emertus was simply too tired and had health problems.
“How many has the Vatican taking in r are they just donating billions for support?”
I believe I heard that the jewel encrusted, gold plated Vatican is taking in two, that’s 2 families. I hope I’m wrong.

Nope, I’m not wrong.
Was the video silent, or in my computer messing up?
