I’m just curious: Has this ever happened before with ANY other candidate before in the US, Repub and Democrap? A “loyalty” pledge?? Who invented this crap? And is it even legally binding?

That's what I'd like to know.
I didn't like this whole pledge thing when FoxNews brought it up at the beginning of their debate (which they had no right to do if they are a news organization), and I don't like it now that the GOP is bringing it up. Why don't the GOP leaders sign a pledge that they'll throw their support behind a conservative candidate instead of another milquetoast establishment RINO?!?

posting the wrong date does not make a contract null and void when you can prove the date it WAS signed.

Stop repeating the dummies talking points.

Contrary to conventional wisdom, post-dating a check is a meaningless exercise. There are four items necessary to the execution of the instrument, and the date is not one of them; it bears no more significance to a bank than the “memo,” which is entirely for the benefit of the signer.

Maybe Trump got the month wrong, but Princess Barry got the year wrong.

The version posted on Trumps twitter account shows 9-3-15. And the date was written in by Rinse Prius and not Trump.

It’s just a prop anyway, no matter what date.

Yep, that is the same doc as on Trump’s twitter account.

I think CBS and Lazy-Fairy are the ones that need glasses.

When Trump shows the document at the Presser, it spells out August 3, 2015. The one posted on this forum has 9/3/2015. Are there 2 documents?

Trump did not write the date. The witness did.

And it is correct.

This could be the first time in a presidential primary. State Democrat parties in Texas and Florida required that party officials and candidates sign a pledge to support the party's candidate in the general election. Dennis Kucinich refused to sign and took his case to court.

The Virginia Republican party wanted primary voters to sign one. And there was talk in 2004 that attendees at Bush rallies had to sign a pledge of loyalty to be admitted. It's something that's been creeping into US politics for a while now.

There’s something very “commie” about all this. One would *think* that someone who is so high in the polls like Trump would be treated like a gift to the Repub party, but no, they have to treat him like a potential enemy.

The date doesn’t matter. Either Trump is honest and he will abide by what he agreed or he is dishonest and is seeking a loophole to not do what he agreed. If he his dishonest, then everything he says is potentially a lie. I hope he is honest.

The same Carly Fiorina who said she would have voted to confirm the racist, Socialist Sotomayor to the SCOTUS? The same Carly Fiorina who said she would have supported Hillary Clinton in ‘08 had she not committed to McCain? Is that the Carly Fiorina you’re talking about?

"Sneaky sneaky Donald. Bet he wishes he could use eminent domain powers to vacate the GOP field to build his Trump presidency upon.
  • [snip bullet list]

z taxman ... let me ask you a question. Don't you think you should wait until Bush is crushed and out of the race forever before you try to destroy Trump? You are effectively working for Bush and you don't even realize it!

At this point in the primary we should be united on one thing, and there should be no bullet lists against anyone except for Bush ( they can come later! ). He's got to go. That is unless you actually want Bush?

If not Bush, then you must be a Walker or Cruz fanatic because for some reason they have attracted several followers who continue to be their candidates' worst enemy. Even Rand Paul doesn't seem to be attracting them.

We should all be in a temporary cease-fire against each other until that anointed (R)epublicrat is buried. You are being illogical to break this cease-fire. Don't you think that we all can draw up bullet lists of bad things about Cruz/Walker/Paul/Rubio/etc and bomb those threads as well? Do you really want your candidate to receive return-fire from a fire-up group of Trump supporters? LOL.

Please explain your thinking here, if you are actually thinking.
