(CNN)Donald Trump often vows he'll win the Hispanic vote if he becomes the Republican candidate for president next year.

If so, he might have some work to do.

A new Washington Post/ABC News poll released Wednesday finds that the real estate magnate is viewed unfavorably by 82% of Hispanics, with 68% feeling "strongly so." Just 15% of those surveyed view Trump favorably.

And 85% of Americans view him favorably.

DO you have a link for that?

Per the article: “He might have some work to do”.

BS. The Donald doesn’t have to pander to anybody, nor should he. He’s getting where he is today by simply speaking the truth.

Pandering to the illegals is a losing proposition for the candidacy and for the country.

Note to CNN: Politics as usual is dead. Wake up.

Yeah, well, Donald Trump probably views 82% of Hispanics unfavorably, so I’d say they’re even..

There’s a lot of Latinos who only watch Univision and think that Trump is calling for concentration camps and forced deportations of all Latinos.

I never give any creedence to WAPO/ABC polls even if they support the candidate(s) that are truly in the lead. Their track record i worse than a random internet poll.

59% of Americans support him on immigration. You can win with that. If we can’t have a President unless they favor open borders we are done for anyway.

Good. I hope that those that disagree will identify as such in this future.so they may be forcibly deported. It should also become a felony for any American to materially support illegals with the consequence of losing ones citizenship and any benefits and rights of former citizenship being denied.

Sorry for sounding like a liberal. I usually call for hanging of traitors. I guess I am just feeling nice today.

Isn’t it grand watching FReepers champion the Left’s polls and talking points.

LEGAL immigrants of Latino origin probably despise the idea of amnesty toward the illegal contingent even more sharply than the general run of the population. Here they jumped through all the hoops and paid all the fees and met all the various criteria for citizenship, and here these - YAHOOS - just jumped the border and WAY ahead of those who waited patiently, get something conferred, making all their efforts POINTLESS?

How do they poll hispanics? Is there a list of hispanics somewhere? Do they go through phone books and look for hispanic-sounding names? Do they get a list from ICE? Seriously. Maybe they call La Raza members.

The two might both be true (Trump got more call-in support, but not more poll support), but I also wonder how they selected the pollees.

There are valid reasons for legal American Hispanic immigrants to not want uncontrolled groups of illegales to be coming into the USA. I had a Hispanic neighbor a few years ago, a lady born in Mexico who was unhappy with the illegale problem. Gave them all a bad name, and competed with them for employment.

So Latinos will not support a republican unless they promote amnesty, open borders and the general protection and support of illegals?
