Businesswoman turned politician Carly Fiorina is angry with CNN. The reason? The network is likely to leave her out of its prime time debate because shes supposedly not polling in the top 10.
The only problem with that? She clearly is.
As Howie Kurtz explained on Fox News, CNN, however, is using older polls from before the first Fox News debate to assemble its top 10″ of candidates. Its clear that this is extremely bad for Fiorina, since she barely had name recognition before that debate. After it, however, she quickly surged in the polls and suddenly become a top contender.
Youd think that CNN would understand that debates actually matter and that a few weeks (let alone a few months) are an eternity in politics, but theyre having none of it. From the looks of it, the cable channel will not change its selection process. This means that Fiorina will once again have to participate in the kids table debate, missing out on the big audience that the top 10 debate is sure to draw since theyre up in prime time.
Of course, CNN could change their system in the blink of an eye, but theyll likely refuse to do so because they dont want to give in to the demands of one of the candidates says Kurtz. Well, of course they wouldnt. To the networks, this entire primary process is of course not about the actual candidates, but about themselves. Its about their ratings, their influence, their power and their reputation. Republican voters can lose, as long as the networks win.
This flies in the face of the interests of the Republican National Committee. The RNC has to learn from this debacle and make sure it and nobody else organizes future debates. Networks can air the debates - obviously but its not up to them to come up with the rules and to decide who can and cant participate.

As a successful woman I would have hoped she would have not joined the “Trump insulted women” gang. In my career I worked in upper management mostly with men, and if I went around whining everytime some man said something derogatory about women I don’t believe I would have been management material because you have to focus on the reality of work instead of feelings.
The simple answer is that all polls are averaged from before the first debate to just before the second debate. Her numbers have not been high enough to overcome just how low she was from early on.
That possibility is what CNN is really trying to thwart.
Well, the network sets the terms, but the RNC isn't doing itself any favors by not criticizing or challenging those terms. It suggests that the RNC is on board with what CNN is doing.
Hatchet Face is annoying.
Trump on Fiorina
“I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than ten minutes straight, you develop a massive headache. She has zero chance!”
CNN is putting Jeb Bush higher in the polls than he actually is. They want him to be the person that Hillary runs against.
So blunt and correct.
Compared to HILLARY! Jeffrey Dahmer is likable.
Yes, there is that.
Interesting you would quote the Daily Komies. Do you realize that she was CEO during the Dot Com crash? Her main problem is she was a Conservative in a Marxist environment.
Pray America is waking
Hillary can’t pull a Rick Lazio stunt on someone like Fiorina.
CNN is protecting Hitlery by keeping Fiorina off the main stage.
That’s my feeling too. Heck, CNN is gleefully promoting crazy, elderly, spittle-flecked Donald Trump as the true face of the GOP and they sure don’t want a young, intelligent, rational person - especially a woman, interfering with their narrative.
Here is the criteria release for the CNN debate sometime back.
snip
“The first 10 candidates ranked from highest to lowest in polling order from an average of
all qualifying polls released between July 16 and September 10 who satisfy the criteria
requirements ... will be invited to participate in ‘Segment B’ of the September 16, 2015
Republican Presidential Primary Debate,” the network states in its candidate criteria.
“Candidates who satisfy the criteria and achieve an average of at least 1 percent in
three national polls, but are not ranked in the top 10 of polling order will be
invited to participate in ‘Segment A’ of the September 16, 2015 Republican
Presidential Primary Debate.”

Yes...so if that is the case then why did she go out an purchase a jet for travel. Post her photo and hand out bom boms for employees to cheer her. Those are not what good CEO’s do during a collapse of the economy.
She’s in the GOP ball park and I will not even remotely support her. Not to mention she lies and exagerates greatly her background.
As for quoting Daily Komies.....that information is reported otherwise as well.
she is at what? 4%? 3%
The objective is to eliminate those that were blips. She WAS up to 9% and then dropped FAST.
How about we have only the top 5 and the rest go to the kiddie table.
Bastards at CNN
The goal was to prevent those temporary surge candidates from having a “dead cat bounce” into the top only to disappear.
She was at 1 then at 2 then 9 then 4...
