Even if he just built The Great Wall of Trump and changed the perception of anchor babies being legal he would be doing us a great service.

When Obama was elected the first time I was not surprised although disgusted. But the one thing I thought he would do is put an end to the racial division. So I had hope for that. HA....he deliberately made it worse. But as zero noted...a lot of us saw in him our own hopes when he was really a blank slate covering up what we now know is a
muslim communist. My point is he deceived A LOT of people.

BTW, I do taxes also....but indirect taxes for a big company. I think it gives one a very matter of fact approach.

I don’t know at this point.

He’s seems to be somewhere around 4%, and his position on illegal immigration and legal immigration doesn’t exactly impress me.

It’s really time to go balls to the wall on this, and if a person doesn’t have the mettle for it, then maybe it’s best to go with someone who does.

I’m not interested in hearing the stories of illegal aliens while Americans are being victimized by them.

Not at all interested.

To blame Bush for a meltdown that was decades in the making is about par for the course for the deep thinking Trump..Its also clear he can love you one moment then stab you in the back the next ...works great when your power comes from your money and you have plenty of it, but its not going to help him persuade co equal branches of government to do what he wants

If you think that’s an insult, you have a very thin skin indeed (and that’s not meant as an insult, just a statement of fact).

My preference in the GOP candidate is of no bearing on
.....

Sure it does because all of them have policy positions left of Trump noob.

You are working to convince FReepers to not support Trump and his policies which match our conservative objectives, that would make you a Rino supporter, Yeb is your guy or Bernie, newbee.

Cruz is my favorite. Cruz is the only one not badmouthing Trump. If Trumps gets tired of the nonsense Cruz will pick up his votes and raise straight to the top of the polls.....then Fox can try and destroy him. Fox should be called the Jeb/Kasich News Service.

Coalesce around Ted Cruz or lose this election.

I agree.

That's why I, (like Cruz), am SUPPORTING Trump and not bashing him. Lots of people could learn from Cruz and follow his lead.

Where did that come from?

“Protectionism raises prices to consumers and cuts off American industry from the world. It chases large American employers offshore so that they can compete in the wider world and makes the protected industries lose efficiency. Reducing their competition lessens the drive for lower costs and higher quality.”

All of this, everything you stated above, has been happening for years. You’re stating that these things WILL happen if we have a protectionist economy. So have we had a protectionist economy or not? If not, then what kind of economy have we had? And please, don’t start with the free trade crap. Free trade takes 2, not 1 country. Hence the term “trade.”

You said I “couldn’t read.” I don’t know where you’re from, but where I’m from that’s insulting.

However, you’re wrong about the thin skinned part. I could care less what you think, your no one to me. I was just stating the obvious.

No, I don’t do bs very well.

I’m also not a Republican Party boot licker, either. But then I don’t have to be, you’ve got that wrapped up pretty well.

I did not say that. Should Trump actually be a liberal sleeper agent so to speak (this is the current RINO/Dem line and only since the debates), Cruz’ quiet support for him would bear explanation; but only in such a case.

Besides that, the context of RINOs and Democrats joining forces to be the anti-Trump ought not be ignored; it is very blatant.

Thanks for the response. How did that work out for us in 2008 and 2012?

Did the most Conservative folks win those years when these primaries kicked in?

You know exactly what I meant. All of the GOP is liberal, they just give lip service to conservatism, not just Donald Trump, as you say.

Cruz IS the best candidate we've had run for president in either party for decades.

I mean "best" in the context of who is able to motivate voters to vote for him, not who has the positions which most closely align with conservatism. Having conservative positions is great, but a candidate must be able to get people to support him. Reagan overcame the establishment and the MSM. Cruz must do the same.
