Arrrghh, sorry ... that caption should say ...

With a completely straight face the Doctor orders the terminal cancer patient:
"Whatever you do, don't smoke or eat fatty foods, the surgeon general says they are bad for you!"

Was just telling another FReeper this is a once in 36 year chance.

Reagan eased out GHW Bush in 1980. Here we are 36 years later.

We are not going to nominate a Conservative unless it’s Trump.

That means we get another RINO.

Our next chance could be 2052. Something to think about.

Now or never...

OK, those might be options. I will stay put and begin compiling illuminated manuscripts of the books that have transcendent value, or at least until I am rounded up.

Megyn promotes Trump?

Absolutely. Don't let the smoke and mirrors distract you. Does Trump work because he talks about the issues? No. Because he makes outrageous statements. Megyn Kelly could have been fair and asked Trump a legitimate question. He could have been tripped up, and he wouldn't get attention for being outrageous. She asked him about comments he made about women. That gave him the chance to overwhelm everything else in that debate by giving the reply he did. So she got the assist for the score he was trying to make. She might has well have gotten that question from trump's campaign staff. And maybe she did.

Tell me how that happens.

We haven’t been able to nominate a Conservative since Reagan in 1984.

Why do you think this year would be different?

Cruz isn’t going to appeal to Democrats. He’s not going to appeal to Moderate Republicans.

There’s nothing we can do.

Explain a process that gets Cruz past Leftists that outnumber us at least 3 to 1.

Spot on! Those who have their ideological distaste for protectionism may not know the reality of their desire for a perfect world. It is time for some traumatic measures. China is on a downward drift and it will suck us all down. How much do we owe them? We may have sealed our undoing.

You don’t have the authority to fire me.

Neither does Trump.

Well back in 2000 between Bush and McCain, I’d say Bush was more conservative than McCain, no?

he has favored low rates

Look at his past. He has supported punitive and redistributive taxation.

This blog post is a one-sided cherry picking of what Trump

If ANY other candidate had half of this, you'd denounce them as a RINO. The only reason you don't do that with Trump, is that the media has gone to great length to to promote him as a "conservative." Which is 100% a lie.

How much of a victory would Trump being the nominee be for the GOP establishment? He checks all their boxes, plus he got rid of the Tea Party for them. He is the GOPe dream candidate.

Bush wasn’t a Conservative. He was a bit better than Jeb. That’s it.

This was a guy that claimed to be a compassionate Conservative, a champion of no child left behind, and wanted to issue amnesty to illegal aliens. He supported Medicare Part D.

He was a hot mess.

That is a sore spot with me too, because McCain is absolutely vile. To your point, Bush was more Conservative.

Remember that Bush was recognized as such a moderate that he could barely beat the likes of Al Gore or John Kerry.

I didn’t vote for him the first time around.

I think things will be much clearer on March 1st when the SEC primaries take place. The SEC states are VERY conservative. Cruz HAS a strong organization in the SEC states. He has been campaigning hard in those states and has strong grassroots support. Plus He has the money to keep running even if he doesn’t win Iowa, NH or NC. He could very well start smoking the competition starting with the SEC primaries on March 1st.

Exactly. Plus, we don’t get valerie or soros with Trump in a secret package deal.

That is why it takes a dictator, which we have and will have, to remove them. Or it takes the States reclaiming their power and that will also require a Dictator, one who is favorable to and promotes the idea and who would keep Washington from doing whatever is necessary to stop the process. We need someone like Trump in that position but there are no controls once he is here. The outlook depends on too many ifs and maybes for comfort but it is the only way I see other than armed revolution and the outcome of that sort of thing would be even less likely constructive, far less.

In collapsing great nations the Man on Horseback often appears and Saves the Nation, returns it to glory, for a short time, but does not bring democracy or return the Republic. Napoleon was such a one. Hitler was, too, and Octavian.

Pray that God has not withdrawn His hand from America.

Yet, you can’t disagree with it? Do you like Rubio? Rubio doesn’t have ha;f the RINO luggage Trump does. You have a double standard for liberal Trump.
