George F. Will: The havoc Trump wreaks

WASHINGTON -- Every sulfurous belch from the molten interior of the volcanic Trump phenomenon injures the chances of a Republican presidency. After Donald Trump finishes plastering a snarling face on conservatism, any Republican nominee will face a dauntingly steep climb to reach even the paltry numbers that doomed Mitt Romney.

It is perhaps quixotic to try to distract Trump's supporters with facts, which their leader, who is no stickler for dignity, considers beneath him. Still, consider these:

The white percentage of the electorate has been shrinking for decades and will be about 2 points smaller in 2016 than in 2012. If the Republicans' 2016 nominee does not do better than Romney did among nonwhite voters, he will need 65 percent of the white vote. Romney did even slightly worse among Asian-Americans than among Hispanics. Evidently minorities generally detected Republican ambivalence, even animus about them. This was before Trump began receiving rapturous receptions because he obliterates inhibitions about venting hostility.

Jorge Will must have forgotten that all the scripted country club GOPe candidates have lost since W won in 2004. Obviously, they don’t know how to win.

How soon we forget:
"In 2011, when Trump was a voluble "birther" -- you remember: Obama supposedly was not born in America -- an interviewer asked if he had people "searching in Hawaii" for facts. "Absolutely," Trump said. "They can't believe what they're finding." Trump reticence is rare, but he has never shared those findings. He now says, in effect: Oh, never mind."

Poor PRrep George Will, paid attacker for his wife,
smells sulfur because of the intestine he inhabits.

If it was not for Roger Ailes, George Will,
liberal pseudo-conservative conservative-backstabber,
and the other paid flacks would have nothing.

Scanned the polls..he’s leading big in every one, except for WI and OH and that is for obvious reasons.

But I don’t think in my lifetime one primary candidate has led in NH, IA, and SC simultaneously. These all have different sort of roles in the GOP primary.

But they are all polling similarly.

Incredible, really.

Too many adjectives.

Evidence of insecurity, as a writer, and as a man.

George Will is a man?

Did you see the outfit he was wearing last Sunday?

I swear he's a flamer.

Lets play What If

what if George Will is right and you are wrong?
Are you going to be happy if you wake up some day and we have President Hillary Clinton? or President Biden?

You may hate the pundits but it could be they have more knowledge of politics than you have....I did not think Obama would win but I was wrong

Its been a long 7 years

What amazes me is that both George Will and Jonah Goldberg are usually articulate. But instead of using reasonable persuasion to discredit Trump’s popularity, they resort to insulting those who support him as though they are stupid.

This is standard practice from the left, but I guess all so-called journalists have to resort to name calling when things don’t go their way?
