Following yesterdays incident in which longtime Univision news anchor and Fusion TV host Jorge Ramos was ejected from a Donald Trump news conference, singer Ricky Martin has penned an op-ed defending Ramos and calling for an end to the attacks against Latinos.
The piece was published on Univision and translated to English via Billboard. Martin begins by calling out Trumps gratuitous harassments against the Latin community.
From the beginning his intention was transparent: basically tell barbarities and lies to remain relevant in the public opinion, for votes or simply to stay on the medias radar. Yesterdays episode against journalist Jorge Ramos, one of the most beloved and respected Latinos in world media, has gotten to the point of enough is enough. Jorge Ramos was doing HIS JOB as a journalist at a press conference in which he appeared freely and democratically, representing one of the most important Latin television networks in the world and with the same right to freely exercise his profession as all other journalists.
He continues by saying Trumps actions dont surprise him, but is surprised by Hispanics still accepting the aggressions and accusations of people like him.
Enough is enough! If we are united for some things we should be united for others. We have already shown the United States who we are and we cannot allow this behavior. We have to defeat the power that Trump pretends to have over Latinos, anchored in low rhetoric and xenophobic speech, which his campaign team is convinced works for him.
Lets show that our Latin race is to be respected, lets not allow a political hopeful to plant his campaign in insult and humiliation. Lets demand respect for those first generations of Latinos who came to the United States and opened a path for us. We have fought for every right that we have today.
Never in my life, anywhere in the world have they kicked me out of a press conference or an interview, Ramos told Univision after the incident, according to Latin Times. This is the first time and its happening in the U.S. with a presidential candidate. He continued, If he does this to me, that Im a U.S. citizen, what can happen with the other undocumented immigrants living here in the U.S. that havent had my luck?
Ricky say, SWISH!!!! Makes me wonder about Jorge. Shut up Ricky and spit.
Another faggot speaks. Yippee
Well, there goes the lip synching gay Latino vote. Damn.
Who ? Come on with this no name toad.
doesn’t this faggot have a microphone to suck on?
Watch Tom Woods’s video, “Interview with a Zombie.” Then watch Jorge Ramos interviewing Ted Cruz. It’s almost the same video.

Ricky!
Move to an Hispanic paradise/utopia and leave the rest of us alone.
We’re losing patience with ethnic whiners.
(BTW. Sing English!)
I wasn’t quite convinced when it was just nickcarraway who didn’t like Trump, but now that Ricky Martin agrees....I might just give it some credence.
I wouldn’t even say shut up and sing to him. Just shut up. Even your singing is obnoxious.
Most people today would say “who?” The guy’s career went south of the border, so to speak.
Wth is ricky martin? Laugh in?
Speaking into a microphone...
Jeez, another fairy.
Who is Ricky Martin? And why should anyone give a damn?
We are suppose to be a country not an 24 hour pit stop for non-citizens to take advantage of until there is nothing left for those who are natural/native born. Dual citizenship is a wrong, isn’t there a saying something like “you can’t serve two masters” which boils down to which country are you loyal to?
Ramos didnt ask any questions, interrupted another journalist that Trump called on and just started screaming that He (Trump) couldnt deport 11 million illegal immigrants!
Ramos DESERVED to be escorted out of the press conference!!!!
Trump allowed Ramos to come back if he’d follow the protocol he established. The guy came back and true to his word Trump called on Ramos to ask a question & engaged him for a few minutes.
He’s another packee!
