That Trump has been trashing her for so long, and the best her coworkers and boss can do is tweet a few cowardly lines asking him to pwease, pwease stop, Mr. Trump, pwease, suggests that Fox’s audience has sided with Trump on this one and has lost a certain amount of faith in Megyn Kelly.
What Trump’s campaign has done, then, is give other candidates an excuse to blow off questions from Megyn Kelly. Considere this exchange between Kelly and Ted Cruz last night.

If she hadn’t done anything wrong, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.
I would say after Cruz said what he did last night and then Carson sets his ‘talking head’ in the right place, yeah I think they are seeing that’s the only way to get an ‘adult’ conversation in....

I don’t recall Trump “blowing off” Kelley’s questions.
She threw the debate in Trump’s favor.

For conservatives, there is no such thing as a “nice” reporter, argued Cruz.
“You see Republicans, when they are interviewed by left-wing reporters, and they get afraid, they want them to like them,” Cruz said. “They are not going to like us, they hate us!”
One day a young staffer described a reporter to Cruz as “really, really nice.”
“You know what? No, she’s not,” said Cruz passionately. “She wants to destroy you. Nothing would make her happier than to take your life and filet you on the front pages. And don’t think for a minute that because she smiles and is friendly to you that it’s anything else.”
“Isn’t that pretty cynical?” asked Beck, who added he agrees with Cruz on this point “100 percent.”
“When the sheep are walking among the coyotes, it pays to be cynical,” replied Cruz. “The job of the mainstream media as they see it, they are partisans. They are protecting Barack Obama and they are ready for Hillary.”
To be accurate, Megyn Kelly is an establishment squish intent on doing the establishment media’s dirty work.
