GOP Consultant Lays Out New Genius Plan to Take Down Trump: ‘How Brutus Killed Caesar (TR)
Breitbart ^ | 8/22/15 | Matt Boyle

Posted on 08/22/2015 9:10:54 PM PDT by VinL

The geniuses in the Washington, D.C.- centered GOP establishment have a new plan to take down 2016 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump: Infiltrate his inner circle posing as an ally, then use their fabricated support of him to secretly plot to take him down.

But now they all admit: They were wrong, Trump is real, and he has a serious shot at winning this thing.

“Just like Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca, I was misinformed,” Alex Castellanos, one such consultant, said of Trump in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Friday. “He’s grown. He started off as the anti-Washington candidate, the angry man’s candidate, now he’s becoming not just an anti-them vote but a pro-him. He’s becoming the Make America Great Again candidate and that gives him room for growth.”

“Anybody who discounts Donald Trump—he’s going to be around through the convention now—I think is making a mistake,” Castellanos added.

From there, the conversation turned to how Castellanos thinks Trump might be taken down—and who might do it. He said:

Well you have two angles to look at that—he’s sitting on a bunch of people down there on the conservative side. He’s sitting on Sen. Ted Cruz . I doubt Ben Carson is going to do anything about that, but at some point Ted Cruz is going to wake and figure ‘this race is going to end and I’m never going to catch up.’ Then on the other side, the establishment side, you can wait a little longer. Whether it’s a Carly Fiorina or a Jeb Bush or a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80% , don’t stand in front of the tsunami right now and just coalesce—become a better, stronger candidate so you can be in the lead ...

(snip- pls read last 2 important pars.)

Correct. Bushes gave Cruz his first several jobs in politics/govt. He will attack Trump for the Bushes when the time is right.

I am a Cruz supporter as well but I am concerned that he would be more vulnerable than Trump to the machinations of the Washington Machine.
As he has demonstrated in the past his desire to be fair and to believe what he is being told has caused him to misstep as in the recent treaty debacle.
I think Trump’s experience in a cutthroat marketplace has honed his ability to smell a rat to a fine edge. I think it would be best for Trump to begin the cleaning of the stables and Cruz to begin as Vice or a cabinet position. While I think he would be a great President and his abilities in debate are awesome I think we need Trump now because the machine is panicking and will be vicious and cunning trying to protect its preserve.
Fairness and decency can be a handicap in a vicious fight until you have been annealed in previous conflicts. That is where Trump has the edge. Unlike those who talk about Trump’s deficits I am fully fixated on the intrenched uniparty and the corporate interests that feed it. I think that he is the only man who has his sights firmly on that target.

The GOPe trying to take down Trump, is like Wile E. Coyote trying to take down The Roadrunner.

“If Cruz cannot on his own inspire enough people in this country to follow his lead, then he is not perfect for the job of president, because he may well not be able to secure the job of president.”.........

You can be damned certain the media will do everything they can to keep the lid on anything Cruz brings forth that might sway people to his side. It is VERY OBVIOUS the media and the rino’s are fearful of Cruz, not to mention Trump. Going to be very interesting these next months to come.

Well, I too think he is a good man, but yes he does not have good voice projection and he does have an odd look.

I personally wouldn’t hold either of those two things against him, but there are some who will.

But both of those two characteristics kind of go with his not having any natural leadership qualities.

It’s just one of those that that you are born with or not, and really very few people are born with such qualities.

I would go so far as to call natural leadership qualities extremely rare.

It’s up to Cruz to overcome the media.

Just as Trump has, so can he.

If he can be effectively stifled by the media, then he is not going to be an effective leader.

AND actually THINK Ted Cruz would vote for something HAZARDOUS to the United States..

BUT are WILLING and able to vote for the UNproven,
UNtested, UNconfirmed(as a conservative) DONALD TRUMP...

A KNOWN life-long leftist that spouts CRUZ's arguments all over the place.. as IF they were his own..

I would say that Trump’s history as a businessman would put a stake into the heart of your assessment that he would grow government. To that I ask, what SUCCESSFUL businessman needlessly hires more staff than needed to accomplish a goal? The answer is none, unless he is hell-bent on destroying that business.
--------------------------------------------

I'm glad you asked... the answer is those leftists willing to Go into the GIVERNMENT BUSINESS...

You know.. Crony Capitalists that TAKE serious money out of the Treasury..
Use lobbyists.. all manner of conniving and deceit.. TO MAKE A PROFIT...
As does the Military Industrial Complex...them guys..

WAKE UP(slap slap) drop the Trumpahol... jeese..

Why is it so important to take Trump out .. in order for Cruz to win.

Most of what Trump believes in, is also what Cruz believes in. They make a dynamic pairing. I predict that such a pairing would really shake this country up.

And .. Cruz would be able to be a wonderful helper to the Trump plans to “Make America Great”.

Just think about it (somebody said yesterday) .. 8 years of Trump; 8 years of Cruz; Cruz on Supreme Court.

With that many years of truth telling .. I think America will be the greatest nation on the face of the earth - AGAIN.

I am not in any way saying to vote for him or run around with his bumper stickers on your forehead, but instead there is a reason and one of them was not because he was looking to have someone shovel tax payer funds to one of his projects, it was to find ways of getting the government the hell out of the way.

From all accounts, he was donating TO all stripes of politicians because he got tired of the red tape getting in the way of silly little things like permits not being granted until the wink-wink game was adhered to. It is necessary to bring this to light and who better than one who had to play the game, or go bust.

Cruz is still #1 in my book but I love the ability of Trump to go around all of the establishments, especially the media.

What Cruz did vote for is hazardous for the nation. I don’t think there is much dispute over that unless you are good with giving Obama expanded authority. You can say whatever you want but calling people names and using lots of CAPS to emphasize your opinion does not make your opinion any more valid than anybody else’s and will not change many minds. I think it is juvenile but that is just me. BTW, I voted for Cruz at least as many times as you did. I was going to ask you to stop telling me who I’ll vote for or what sort of oil I consume but I forgot that you know everything.

You don’t have to “Jeeeese” me .. I’m not stupid.

Yes, I concur with your point .. Trump would never “serve” Cruz .. ever. But, since Trump is senior in age to Cruz, I don’t think it would be a problem with Cruz being VP to Trump. In fact, I think it would be a perfect DUO.

HELLO.. you starting to get my drift?... jeese..
