GOP Consultant Lays Out New Genius Plan to Take Down Trump: ‘How Brutus Killed Caesar (TR)
Breitbart ^ | 8/22/15 | Matt Boyle

Posted on 08/22/2015 9:10:54 PM PDT by VinL

The geniuses in the Washington, D.C.- centered GOP establishment have a new plan to take down 2016 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump: Infiltrate his inner circle posing as an ally, then use their fabricated support of him to secretly plot to take him down.

But now they all admit: They were wrong, Trump is real, and he has a serious shot at winning this thing.

“Just like Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca, I was misinformed,” Alex Castellanos, one such consultant, said of Trump in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Friday. “He’s grown. He started off as the anti-Washington candidate, the angry man’s candidate, now he’s becoming not just an anti-them vote but a pro-him. He’s becoming the Make America Great Again candidate and that gives him room for growth.”

“Anybody who discounts Donald Trump—he’s going to be around through the convention now—I think is making a mistake,” Castellanos added.

From there, the conversation turned to how Castellanos thinks Trump might be taken down—and who might do it. He said:

Well you have two angles to look at that—he’s sitting on a bunch of people down there on the conservative side. He’s sitting on Sen. Ted Cruz . I doubt Ben Carson is going to do anything about that, but at some point Ted Cruz is going to wake and figure ‘this race is going to end and I’m never going to catch up.’ Then on the other side, the establishment side, you can wait a little longer. Whether it’s a Carly Fiorina or a Jeb Bush or a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80% , don’t stand in front of the tsunami right now and just coalesce—become a better, stronger candidate so you can be in the lead ...

(snip- pls read last 2 important pars.)

Latest nationwide poll by CNN has Trump at 24, Cruz at 5. Last poll they did, Trump was at 16.

Is there a realistic chance for Cruz to make up that much ground? Do you have a fool-proof crystal ball?

Not IF YOU believe POLLS.. I don’t... Look whose making them.. the POLLS..
POLLS are brilliant Agitprop... Propaganda TOOLS...

If their TRUE we’re screwed.. most conservatives have NEVER been polled..
Unless you believe a RINO is a conservative... I don’t..

TRUMP WILL cause federal givernment to get BIGGER not smaller..
only more efficient.. when the truth “IS”
THIS givernment can NEVER be made more efficient..

We have THREE givernments in the country.. fed. state and local..
GUTTING the federal givernment DOES NOT gut givernment.. AT ALL.. State gov’ts are too big as well..

Cruz knows that so does TRUMP.... but alas......
TRUMP WANTs LARGER FEDERAL(and state) GOVERNMENT...
Cruz does NOT..

IF...... you want TRUMP thats EXACTLY what you will get..

You are wrong, sorry.

You can say Trump doesn’t have natural leadership qualities all you want, but you’re wrong.

You can say Cruz has natural leadership qualities all you want, but you’re wrong.

I’m not saying Cruz wouldn’t make a good president, but does he have natural leadership qualities that anyone can apparently see? No, he doesn’t.

He doesn’t STAND OUT, in fact he blends in.

He is not the type of person who when he walks into a room, everyone in the room knows he just arrived, and is animated about said arrival.

You can pretend he’s that person, but you are pretending.

Trump has a quality that no one else in this race has, and very few people on this earth have.

He is magnetic.

Ok, might be right, first to admit the elites do not harbor any love toward Cruz, but if they had used any brains that God gave them, they should understand they would be walking into the dungeon of death.

IF “THEY” were afraid we wouldn’t the givernment(s) we have..
Things are exactly the way they want them to be.. else they’d change them..

TRUMP will ensure nothing changes except a few bones thrown to the conservative DOGS..

Cruz will change shit.. scares the bejesus out of them..
They know the partys over the JIG is up(literally).. with Cruz..

The Military Industrial Complex’s LOVE TRUMP..
and many more crony capitalists..

ANYWAY.. if Cruz is looking like he will WIN...
THEY’LL KILL HIS ASS.... count on it.. too much is at stake.
The crony’s are world wide not just domestic..

WRONG.. I didn’t say that....

I SAID; He doesn’t have GOOD leadership qualities..
Good for a CEO or tyrant not good for GOVERNMENT...

especially CONSTITUTIONAL givernment...
IF he’s a tyrant like Obama he could operate..
Not in a constitutional republic..

Cruz is perfect for that... TRUMP simply is NOT..

They, the GOPee, have plenty of experience with this tactic. It’s exactly what they did to Palin. They surrounded her with Mitt’s monkeys who did all they could to take her down.

Some how I think Trump has seen this trick before. I’m sure he surrounds himself with loyal people and knows how to sniff out traitors. But it certainly sounds like something the GOPee would try.

I believe you are right. They hate Cruz more than Trump. And they have no love for Trump.

I love seeing the GOPe squirm.

“Your country is on the verge of decline, it’s going over a cliff, and nobody’s doing anything about it. “

Why on earth would he tell a candidate to say “your country”, just for starters. He isn’t much of a consultant.

In order to be a leader, one must first inspire people to follow your lead.

Whether or not a person is then a good leader or a bad leader remains to be seen.

If one cannot inspire people to follow one’s lead, then one is not a leader, and when one is not a leader, whether one is a good leader or a bad leader is a moot question.

Trump HAS natural leadership qualities. He was born with them. Those qualities manifest themselves in his personality.

Whether or not they are good or bad leadership qualities is a matter of opinion, but he most certainly has natural leadership. They are apparent, even obvious.

And no one else in this race does.

I am not saying that they are bad men, or worthless men, although I think a few of them are both bad and worthless, but not one of them has the leadership qualities that Trump has.

It is just a simple matter of plain fact.

If Cruz cannot on his own inspire enough people in this country to follow his lead, then he is not perfect for the job of president, because he may well not be able to secure the job of president.

I don’t think they’re stupid. You just have to look at Nicole Wallace who’s become a public one. They are extremely liberal and the candidates who they want to win have been winning, the more liberal candidates. D.C. is a liberal cesspool and they are part of that culture. They are there to help liberal Democrats win and try to turn the Republicans into liberals.

Wrong again.. to be a good leader ONE has to be able to FOLLOW... to be even trusted with leadership..

Unless your a tyrant like a KING....
Being a KING.. Trumps.. Cruzing to leadership..

I don’t want a KING.. I already have one.. a nasty one..
A son of a bitch... quite literally..

I never said “good” leader, you did.

You can’t be a good leader or a bad leader without first actually becoming a leader.

You are putting the cart before the horse.

Ted Cruz can be a good man all day long, but if he can’t get elected president, IT REALLY DOESN’T MATTER.

You can want Cruz to be president all day long, but if enough other people don’t want that same thing along with you, guess what...

I like Cruz along with Carson, Walker and Jindal.

But can they get voters excited like Trump can?

Can they motivate voters to go to the polls like Trump can?

I think Bobby Jindal would make a fine POTUS, but how motivated would people be to go out and vote for him?

It’s going to take more than just the Conservative base to get a Conservative back in office.
It’s going to take Indy’s as well as some Dem’s.

As much as I like Cruz, I still think Trump has the best chance of being elected.

There are worse things in the world than electing Trump and at the same time, giving a big middle finger to the GOPe.

You would think they learned their lesson after playing nice with Obama in 2008, and all the while telling Palin to tone down her anti-Obama rhetoric.

ARE they STUPID.?.... NO... Trumps followers are..

Everyone is stupid... you're smart. After all, you've figured out this complex scheme by the GOP puppet-masters. Their packing stadiums full of Trump supporters in order to take Cruz out.

I think I'll start ranting illogically in every Trump thread I see. I want to be smart - like you.

Probably because Trump is selling himself to a new customer/client - American voting public.

This is probably the type of language he uses in business; “your company is not making money, etc..., I can make it great again, etc....

It’s a small point but a valid one but he may be doing it intentionally right now to sell himself to voters and to sound like an outsider and not a typical politician.

LIKE they are doing.... the wolves be out heavy.. these days..

Preying on the naive and gullible..

Trick is to stop chewing the cud and get suspicious..
Indeed; He LOOKS like a sheep.. bleats like a sheep..

No, he looks like a man with natural leadership qualities in a race with a bunch of other Republicans and a few Democrats that have no natural leadership qualities at all.

You don’t seem to be able to dispassionately assess the factors here with drifting off into non-reality.

I think that Cruz would likely make a better president than trump, but how does he arrive in that position?

Cruz is much more of a cerebral kind of guy than he is someone who can rally people to him.

He might well not have the innate skill set to accomplish what he wants to accomplish with regard to this election.

There are a lot of people who run for president who have no business at all being in the race.

In fact, almost all people who run for president have no business being in the race.

You can’t just wish someone president because you want them really, really badly.

They have to have the ability to achieve that, and most people don’t have that ability.
