GOP Consultant Lays Out New Genius Plan to Take Down Trump: ‘How Brutus Killed Caesar (TR)
Breitbart ^ | 8/22/15 | Matt Boyle

Posted on 08/22/2015 9:10:54 PM PDT by VinL

The geniuses in the Washington, D.C.- centered GOP establishment have a new plan to take down 2016 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump: Infiltrate his inner circle posing as an ally, then use their fabricated support of him to secretly plot to take him down.

But now they all admit: They were wrong, Trump is real, and he has a serious shot at winning this thing.

“Just like Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca, I was misinformed,” Alex Castellanos, one such consultant, said of Trump in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Friday. “He’s grown. He started off as the anti-Washington candidate, the angry man’s candidate, now he’s becoming not just an anti-them vote but a pro-him. He’s becoming the Make America Great Again candidate and that gives him room for growth.”

“Anybody who discounts Donald Trump—he’s going to be around through the convention now—I think is making a mistake,” Castellanos added.

From there, the conversation turned to how Castellanos thinks Trump might be taken down—and who might do it. He said:

Well you have two angles to look at that—he’s sitting on a bunch of people down there on the conservative side. He’s sitting on Sen. Ted Cruz . I doubt Ben Carson is going to do anything about that, but at some point Ted Cruz is going to wake and figure ‘this race is going to end and I’m never going to catch up.’ Then on the other side, the establishment side, you can wait a little longer. Whether it’s a Carly Fiorina or a Jeb Bush or a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80% , don’t stand in front of the tsunami right now and just coalesce—become a better, stronger candidate so you can be in the lead ...

(snip- pls read last 2 important pars.)

The GOP consultants care only about the politically correct agenda of kissing the asses of homosexuals, Muslims and dark-skinned people. They are only there to try to change the GOP from the inside to conform to that agenda. If a candidate gets close to being elected who isn’t on board with that agenda, they will shiv in the ribs to ensure the Democrat gets elected every time.

A lot of Ross Perot’s problems came from the inside.

The establishment knifing Trump in the back would surely result in a third party run.

This is the same Castellanos who just a few days earlier called for a “cleansing” of the Republican Party after what he then expected would be an inevitable collapse of Trump’s campaign. Just a few days later, Castellanos has clearly changed his tune.

This guy proffers in dog crap.

Republican ‘consultant’ Castellanos is a Sunday show regular, I listened to him a few times(its not fun) .

He is the opposite of Trump on TV.

He is boring and lame.

I have never seen him make a convincing point.

Like McCain groupie 'Republican consultant' Ana Navarro

“Your country is on the verge of decline, it’s going over a cliff, and nobody’s doing anything about it. We get it. Donald Trump and I agree on that, but let me tell you now what we’re going to do.”

And I would say to that candidate, “I hear what you are saying. The country’s not on the verge of decline, though, but in actual decline, in decadence. And we’ve seen for the last several elections that what-we’re-going-to-do is just so many words to get elected. You and your handlers have had your chance. Now get out of the way.”

I’m a Cruz guy, and I think its going to be Trump/Cruz. They are going to win this thing walking away. GOP can’t do anything to stop them.

Great minds think alike.

Hosepipe, Trump is the only person in the race on either side with natural leadership qualities.

And that counts for a whole lot, because that is an extremely rare quality.

Trump has gravitas. Hell, you could even say that he has his own gravitational pull.

The reason Ted is behind isn’t because people are conspiring against him, it’s because he, like everyone else except Trump, lacks that quality.

Cruz will ultimately go after Donald, just not now.

Anyone who goes after Trump is not going to win the presidency. The smartest thing they could do is wait four years and walk into eight years, with a lot of the problems being on the way of solution because Trump will choose competent people, not political hacks.

Besides that, there's always the chance that Trump might get bored or decide it's not time to leave his business empire. In that case, his delegates could make him the king maker who choses who the nominee will be. And it won't be Jeb.

WRONG Trump cannot FOLLOW,,, needs to be able to follow to be a good leader..

Cruz can Follow -OR- Lead..*well

CRUZ IS “the LEADER” here not TRUMP...
Trump is Barney Fife with a full load.... Cruz is ANDY...

Actually I doubt TRUMP would consent to be in Cruz’s Cabinet because of that..
Thinking he would not be able DEMAND ACTION... his way..

Cruz is the MAN for these times.. the EXACT MAN...
Lucky at all that he’s running..

Trumps says what Cruz has already said or implied..

You’re a believer, I respect that.. gotta believe in something..

I’ve “smelled” Trump and he smells like BIG GIVERNMENT..
A stench that un-nerves me.. acrid.. same old same old..

Like Obama.. promise the WOrld and GROW GIVERNMENT..

If you WANT a larger federal givernment.. TRUMPS YOUR MAN..

I don’t.. therefore I choose CRUZ.. to “ GUT “ federal givernment like a FISH..

AND He knows how to do it too.. by the way..

You may have hit upon something. The GOP consultants have proved themselves to be stupid, again and again, as you have noted.

May be that is why Trump has success in all polls. He ignores the consultants.

Latest nationwide poll by CNN has Trump at 24, Cruz at 5. Last poll they did, Trump was at 16.

Is there a realistic chance for Cruz to make up that much ground? Do you have a fool-proof crystal ball?

Ok, might be right, first to admit the elites do not harbor any love toward Cruz, but if they had used any brains that God gave them, they should understand they would be walking into the dungeon of death. By attacking Trump and making him more powerful, they risk seeing the future. Trump survives, his choice for VP is Cruz. Trump serves, Cruz is then up with a better likelihood of winning the top prize. And look at what might be accomplished by US rather than only a 4-year term of sanity. Cruz is then top dog with much more ammo than he has at the moment. Superman on steroids.
