GOP Consultant Lays Out New Genius Plan to Take Down Trump: ‘How Brutus Killed Caesar (TR)
Breitbart ^ | 8/22/15 | Matt Boyle

Posted on 08/22/2015 9:10:54 PM PDT by VinL

The geniuses in the Washington, D.C.- centered GOP establishment have a new plan to take down 2016 Republican frontrunner Donald Trump: Infiltrate his inner circle posing as an ally, then use their fabricated support of him to secretly plot to take him down.

But now they all admit: They were wrong, Trump is real, and he has a serious shot at winning this thing.

“Just like Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca, I was misinformed,” Alex Castellanos, one such consultant, said of Trump in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Friday. “He’s grown. He started off as the anti-Washington candidate, the angry man’s candidate, now he’s becoming not just an anti-them vote but a pro-him. He’s becoming the Make America Great Again candidate and that gives him room for growth.”

“Anybody who discounts Donald Trump—he’s going to be around through the convention now—I think is making a mistake,” Castellanos added.

From there, the conversation turned to how Castellanos thinks Trump might be taken down—and who might do it. He said:

Well you have two angles to look at that—he’s sitting on a bunch of people down there on the conservative side. He’s sitting on Sen. Ted Cruz . I doubt Ben Carson is going to do anything about that, but at some point Ted Cruz is going to wake and figure ‘this race is going to end and I’m never going to catch up.’ Then on the other side, the establishment side, you can wait a little longer. Whether it’s a Carly Fiorina or a Jeb Bush or a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 80% , don’t stand in front of the tsunami right now and just coalesce—become a better, stronger candidate so you can be in the lead ...

(snip- pls read last 2 important pars.)

Correct.

That is the point.

The reason Trump has more supporters, considerably more, is because of his natural leadership qualities, which is what I have been trying to tell you.

Taking into account those qualities and when he announced his candidacy and cut right to the heart of the matter, which is our country being GIVEN to illegal aliens, which all the other candidates could have discussed but didn’t, and then just a couple of days later a beautiful American woman was shot and killed by some illegal alien sh!t stain.

That is how he blew right past all of them, and that woman’s death was the catalyst for Americans to say ENOUGH.

And most of them still don’t get it. I don’t even really think that Cruz gets it, to be perfectly honest. I don’t even think most of them even remember that woman’s death as they run around with this anchor baby boo hoo and these people have stories too..

TO HELL WITH THEM!

Nothing else really matters when you have a government systematically replacing the population of its own country with illegal aliens and muslims from various sh*tholes around the world.

Where was all this panic against Obama in 2008 and 2012?

I’ve never seen the GOPe, and supposed Conservative media led idiots so animated. In Trump they have finally found an enemy they couldn’t find in Clinton, Gore, Kerry, or Obama.

McCain didn’t bother them. Romney didn’t bother them.

Seriously, this is just unreal.

Trump isn’t pushing some heavy Leftist stuff here. He’s pushing main stream...

“CONSERVATISM”

Cruz has NOT TURNED on TRUMP ....... YET...
Cruz can easily with accumen say what I’m saying far better..
with the proper venue.. say a debate.. say the last three..
Timing is all important..

Many people are not IDIOTS.. can can see this very logic..
TRUMP support can EVAPORATE...

Only reason I say it now.. is because this is FREE REPUBLIC..
The cream of all conservative sites..

Even the “bewitched’ can be “UNbewitched”..

Cruz hasn’t turned on anyone, and that is really not a good thing.

I’m sorry, but the government of this country is purposely replacing the native population with various populations of third world countries.

And Americans are being murdered and raped and tortured by them, and I don’t really see where as anyone other than Trump even gives the remotest shit about it.

I don’t really have the time and patience for nice guys, civil debate, let’s find a way to work together and respect each other and blah, blah, ****ing blah.

If you don’t have the mettle to stand up and say this is going to stop right now, and this is going to be reversed right now, and oh if you came here thinking you were going to get a free ride on all our backs, well guess what, you’re not, you’re going to go right back where you came from, and we are going to shut the door behind you and nail it closed, then I don’t really care at all what you have to say.

To be perfectly frank with you I DON’T SEE THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FIRE AND FURY COMING FROM TED CRUZ CONSIDERING AMERICA’S METEORIC PLUMMET FROM THE SKY.

That’s what I see in Cruz - lacking the leadership qualities. He hasn’t even really proven himself as a leader in the Senate. Nor has he, to my knowledge, ever ran a business. His entire career to this point is being in government in one form or another. Heck, I even read that his entire life’s goal was to be in government. That makes me queasy. I like him and believe he is a solid conservative on most issues, but, his voice irritates me somewhat. I could vote for him if it came to that, but right now I have a choice.

Calling Trump followers stupid will not work any better for you than it does for the rest of the GOPe. Cruz understands that fact, apparently you do not. The fact is you have an opinion, no more or less valid than anybody else’s opinion. I am bored with self appointed experts calling people who like Trump or anybody they do not agree with stupid. It is amusing to watch seemingly normal folks succumb to TDS and turn into GOPe shills. Rick Wilson, is that you? BTW, nobody is perfect. I like Cruz too but have a problem with his vote for cloture on TPA and his wanting to expand the H1-B program 500%.

Last time I'm even going to talk to you because your childish "YELLING" is tiresome.

Leadership means you get others to follow in a way that achieves something more than suicide.

How well did Cruz lead in the senate? Who followed him? Mike Lee? Did he even get like-minded conservatives like Jeff Sessions or Rand Paul to join his shutdown? Did he succeed? Was Obamacare stopped even for a minute?

A leader convinces others toward his position, yet even after more conservatives were elected in 2014, did any others gravitate to him? Jodi Ernst? Tim Scott? Or all they are liberals too?

I've made the point. Now you can go on your CAPS LOCK rants. I'm done.

I’m a Cruz guy too. Cruz is the expert here, and he will be President Cruz. I can’t predict where Trump will be, but it WON’T be Trump/Cruz.

I, too am a Cruz guy, have donated more than 10 times and don't know what is going to happen.

If you can't predict where Trump will be, how do you KNOW that it won't be Trump/Cruz?

Do you also know today's number?

I’ve been looking at the Pub primary schedule. It will happen very fast once it starts.

Monday, February 1: Iowa caucuses
Tuesday, February 9: New Hampshire
Saturday, February 20: South Carolina
Tuesday February 23: Nevada caucuses

Trump is ahead in all those states. Barring some big change, he could sweep them all.

Then comes the big one, March 1st. Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado caucuses, Massachusetts; Oklahoma; Tennessee; Texas; Vermont; Virginia, plus probably Alaska, Georgia, Minnesota, North Dakota and Wyoming.

In addition to leading Republican voters, I think some of those are open. The GOPe planned this so their anointed candidate could hurry up and lock it up before any opposition could coalesce around one guy. Open primaries were supposed to help the moderates beat conservatives. What they didn’t plan on is Trump. They didn’t plan on someone other than Bush (or their backup guy Rubio) being the frontrunner. They didn’t plan on the anti-establishment candidate having “yuge” appeal to independents, many of whom loath the GOPe, and some Democrats. By early March it very likely will be over for any Republican candidates not named Trump.

“Did you hear Cruz’s logic on TPA.... NO?..”
Actually, yes and I am not buying it. If Obama wanted it he should have automatically known to vote against it. I dog Cornyn for doing the exact same thing as in voting for cloture than against a bill trying to have it both ways. The cloture vote is the tough one and is the vote for a bill in my view.
I did read Trumps paper and his views about H1-B and they are not what I read. In fact, he called out Zuckerberg, etc. about abusing the current program. I freely admit that my knowledge about is not as all encompassing as you think yours is but perhaps I am not the only one who needs to have somebody learn me some stuff.

I would say that Trump’s history as a businessman would put a stake into the heart of your assessment that he would grow government. To that I ask, what SUCCESSFUL businessman needlessly hires more staff than needed to accomplish a goal? The answer is none, unless he is hell-bent on destroying that business.

I too have Cruz at the top of my list, but with that said, I also know the huge difference between a businessman and a politician. A businessman uses his own capital to grow his lot. A politician uses everybody’s money but his own and that money is usually attained at the barrel of a gun.

Trump used the existing system to get things done as quickly as possible. If you have ever lived in any other country, the reality of payola is very public and accepted. The current political system we have is based on a mountain of lies built on a system to hide the payola that is far more rampant that it is elsewhere.

My theory on Trump is that as a businessman, he admittedly played the game to get through the red tape to advance his business. Somebody or some group did not honor a deal and now he is using their system to exact his revenge. Maybe that was his Seminole moment and he started smelling the same dead roses we have all been subjected to for decades. Only his hairdresser knows for sure.

The one thing I cannot put aside, the only two politicians he has entertained in his offices since announcing are none other than Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz. It is also not lost on me that in addition to Ben Carson, None of these has leveled any sort of attack against Trump. Knowing what these four do over the next six months will bring an illuminating light to how they will bring down the establishment. Just as we are sick and tired of it, I can say with a certain amount of certainty that these four are as well.

“...Castellanos thinks Trump might be taken down—and who might do it.”

If this plan is true, and I’ve heard that something will be happening around Labor day, it’ll give us a good chance to see which of the remaining 16 are true Christians. Cruz and Carson profess to be born again. If so, they’ll keep it clean. As for the others... who knows?

I pray for Trump — that he’ll make a personal decision for Christ. Maybe have some meaningful discussions with Franklin Graham or Ravi Zacharias. I don’t think the President must be a Christian per the Constitution, but it sure would be icing on the cake.

Cruz is not going to take out Trump. This is fantasy talk from RINO nation. Cruz is 43 yo. He could be Trumps VP. Even after 8 years, he’d only be 51 (still light years younger than the avg POTUS). Or Trump could serve one term and hand it over to a 47 yo Cruz.
