Glenn Beck calls Donald Trump a false conservative

Conservative American talk show host Glenn Beck has slammed frontrunner Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump, saying he is a false conservative.

Beck, a former member of the Republican Party, said in an interview on Saturday, “I haven’t heard him talk about the Constitution or small government.”

“It’s hard to say you espouse conservative principles and small-government principles when you are saying that you think [the] Canadian health care system works and is wonderful,” he added.

“I look for a man of integrity, humility, who is rooted in the Constitution,” Beck stated, “because if you root yourself in the Constitution, we can’t go too far left or too far right.”

Trump has maintained a lead among GOP presidential contenders in national polling since he announced his candidacy in mid-July.

A Rasmussen poll released Friday found that a majority of Republican voters (57 percent) believe Trump will be their party’s nominee for president in 2016. Among all likely voters, 49 percent believe Trump is likely to win the GOP nomination, up from 23 percent two months ago.

“He is not a politician,” Beck declared. “He is saying the populist things right now.”

“I think what’s happening with Bernie Sanders with the left is the same thing that’s happening with Donald Trump,” he opined, referring to the independent presidential candidate seeking Democratic nomination.

“They want somebody to say it the way they think it – especially if they say it in a non-politically correct way,” the former Fox News pundit asserted.

Earlier this year, Beck announced to quit the Republican Party, saying he has become disillusioned with the Republicans in recent years over their failure to stand up to the Obama administration over a number of issues.

“All this stuff that they said and they ran and they said they were doing all of these great things and they were going to stand against ObamaCare and illegal immigration — they set us up,” Beck stated.

He accused the Republicans of “torpedoing the Constitution” and said that “they’re doing it knowingly.”

The founder of the Blaze said that he decided to leave the Republican Party because of its resistance to change.

As many as 17 Republicans are seeking their party’s nomination for president but only Trump, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Scott Walker are considered serious contenders.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is competing against only three Democrats and Bernie Sanders for the Democratic Party's nomination. Only Sanders is considered at all competitive in the early primaries.

LOL!

You ask: “How is Trump with women?”
The Ball: “Trump is one of the most feminized males around.”

You ask: “What's the weather going to be?”
The Ball: “What should I do?”

You ask: “Is Trump a closet socialist?”
The Ball: “Trump isn’t even a false conservative. He’s a liberal socialist.”

Just think of the fortune we would make with our Trump Magic 8 Ball- all of his critics would want one!

Of course, since they seem to be a dwindling tribe maybe it’s not such a good idea.

I am certain some of the answers from the 8 Ball might make me spew my Labrot and Graham Woodford Reserve. Must be careful with those 8 Balls.

Trump doesn’t know anything about the Constitution and he doesn’t care about it. It doesn’t benefit him in any way.

hate to say this but neither do 99% of the population of this piece of terre firma called the US. the reality is our government is not functioning as a constitutional republic. If you elect a president who operates that way. he will sit in a corner. congress is useless and the scotus will continue to create a circus of polygamy and bestiality law. Does any normal person really believe that the 14th amendment (creating US citizens instead of state citizens as bad as it is) says that any one that pushes a baby out in our airspace is a citizen. all the insane policy, government workers, pundits, press people do. how insane is that? how is that a constitutional republic any longer.? It doesn’t exist. it is gone. i favor a benevolent dictator at this point.

"He is Mitt Romney 2.0."

I don't think so

Trump was reacting to O'Malley apologizing to Black Lives Matters protesters last month for saying, "Black Lives Matter. White Lives Matter. All Lives Matter."

"And then he apologized like a little baby, like a disgusting, little weak, pathetic baby, and that's the problem with our country," Trump said.

"The reason my Casino went bankrupt in Atlantic City was because I had an all-you-can-eat buffet in the same state as Chris Christie."

I did too. GB is everywhere covertly trying to undermine DT. He thinks he’s clever by not attacking DT directly. GB is a CxSh.

Of course Trump is a false conservative. He has been spewing Liberal views most of his life and still praises nationialized medicine and funding the “good” things Planned Parenthood does.
He is Mitt Romney 2.0.

Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin disagree with you.

I'll go with their opinions.

Glen puts his finger in the air to find out what to say today.
What Glen fails to grasp is Trump is not popular because he is conservative, he is popular because he is successful and people believe he will do what he says.
Unlike the rest of the GOP-e.

Beck has lost his marbles. I only watch Dana Loesch. Beck was right on Newt, but he has totally misguided Trump and what he is doing. It’s exciting to see. I’m for Cruz, but I feel like the Palin’s do about Trump. I always found that he was right on some key issues Trump spoke about namely amnesty and jobs. It sure beats the GOP E that is bent on taking him out and then Cruz and Carson. Beck is totally confused. He has lost it.

Who cares what Glenn Beck is? Trump is no conservative. Perhaps he’s the lesser of a whole lot of evils, but he’s no conservative, and everybody with half a brain knows that.
