He apparently thought it would stay hidden.
There are too many men who fall into such a trap. Christians should at least know that sins will be shouted from the mountaintops on Judgment Day.

How can you honestly consider him to be a Christian? He has shown no fruit at all. Just deceit and vileness.

I dont disagree with you at all. Perhaps you missed my point. As I said, if I, as someone who is not in the public spotlight or a TV reality show star and not as someone has a high profile job at the FRC can protect myself from hackers and identity thieves or if I do become a victim, have some very simple things in place so I can be aware if my identity is breached and react quickly to it, correct it. Why would anyone here posit that Josh Duggar is the victim here? Not me. Everything I said supports what you and I think that the Ashley Madison accounts belonged to him.
FWIW He now sort of admits to it.

To be fair, we are ONLY hearing of the bad from him, but the bad alone is not the whole of him. He has a wife who I understand is a Christian and she’s witnessed some good in him.
I think he needs some serious changes in his life, but addiction has many Christians flummoxed.

He’s admitted himself that he was living a lie. What more do you need?
To: jimbo807
Well, at what point is your salvation lost? Admitting one was living a lie is a vital step toward allowing forgiveness through repentance.
Jesus said forgive your brother 70 time 7. Which of the 490 times of forgiveness was this, or were they all used up?

And you are assuming he’s saved because he says so? At what point does continuing in sin (and progressing even) become evidence against his salvation?
To: jimbo807
To be fair, all I can go by is whether someone has claimed to be a Christian, which then puts that person in a classification of how Christians are to be treated and regarded. I believe it is equally wrong to go against one’s solemn vow and divorce, but we somehow seem to think all these divorced people are Christians and should even be elders in their churches (which the Bible prohibits).
I am not divorced and have never knowingly attended a wedding of someone I respected.
So, what do you condone as being Christian that I don't condone, based on the Bible?

“I am not divorced and have never knowingly attended a wedding of someone I respected.”
That should read: “I am not divorced and have never knowingly attended a wedding of someone I respected who was previously divorced without that spouse having died.”

Your comment presumes there is some grand conspiracy to hide Democrat politicians who were on the site. The poster encouraged you to go look for yourself. Its public information. No one is hiding anything.
To: ConservativeMind
I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.
To: jimbo807
If you believe Josh can’t be a Christian because of his fruits, do you equally believe all divorced/remarried Christians are not Christians because they went against their most solemn vow and live that renunciation every day of their lives?

Uh, I have no opinion on that specific situation and I was asking you the question. Not sure how it got turned into what I believe about divorce.
I will say this: Anna would be more than justified in divorcing his lying, cheating ass. Your opinion is that she shouldn’t?
To: jimbo807
The Bible states you should reconcile or stay single, if divorced.

Josh Duggar is despicable, but one of the reasons he did what he did was because his parents kept their children virtual prisoners in their home. If he had gotten lucky on a date, it would have been a scandal to them, but if he’s so frustrated for contact that he did something unspeakable, it’s no big deal. I’ve never been fans of these people myself.
