Washington Post ^ | 8/16/2015 | Stephen Braun

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump wants more than a wall to keep out immigrants living in the country illegally. He also wants to end "birthright citizenship" for their children, he said Sunday. And he would rescind Obama administration executive orders on immigration and toughen deportation, allowing in only "the good ones."

Trump described his expanded vision of how to secure American borders during a wide-ranging interview Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press," saying that he would push to end the constitutionally protected right of any family living illegally inside the U.S. ...

RE :”Salaries go up and people leave their current job and relocate.”

Glad you mentioned relocate, immigrants by nature are way more willing to re-locate to where the better jobs are.

They are immigrants.

Many Americans stayed in their depressed areas because of houses (now gone), family, friends, hoping for things to get better there, ....stayed on unemployment..

Immigrants are flocking to the DC greater areas for better jobs.

Cyber protection seems to be the real boom and most immigrants cant get many of those jobs as they require clearances

I hope you can get this. This is America, Americans come first.

You refuse to understand what I wrote, it is logical to argue with a stupid < expletive deleted > Marylander.

RE:”This is America, Americans come first. “

To you, you come first, just like everyone else.

Don't bother implying that you give a crap about me and others because we are American, you clearly don't.

What if it became an order to deport all illegal alien parents of children born here? The parents would have a choice to either take the child with them or leave them behind. And if left behind, the child would have to go to a child welfare unit, or to a family of legal residents. Nothing would be said about the anchor babies having to leave the country. It would be their parents that would have to leave.

The reason Trump has struck such a resonant chord with so many conservatives is because he is not afraid to say what he thinks. He doesn’t worry about offending people because that has always been his style.

Career politicians have to suck up to everyone. Offend the donors, then no campaign, no office, no job.

There is a reason that “political correctness” contains the word “political”.

Trump isn’t my first choice, but I sure love the way he is shaking things up. The media is going nuts trying to discredit him. Obviously he’s over the target, because he’s taking a lot of flak.

“Good luck getting the Constitutional amendment passed...”

Everybody with a half a brain knows that the anchor baby B.S. is just that...

I don’t think it would be hard at all.

It should be referred to as “family unification” (in the parents’ legal country of residence). After all, who can be opposed to family unification?

If my finger was on the button, every illegal alien would be systematically interred and removed along with their anchor babies.

In addition to a first class fence along the border, I would make it as militarized as the 38th parallel in the Koreas.

And, if La Raza starts mouthing off, declare them a terrorist organization and throw them in Federal prison.

Good for Trump. They can come back when they are 18 legally. No special favors, no in state this or that.

And the problem with this is?

You are keeping the family together and sorry just because your mother happened to be on US territory when you popped out does not make you a US citizen.

For those who wave the 14th amendment around they should read the 1924 Native American Citizenship Act.

If the fourteenth said what they have tried to twist it into being the act would not have been necessary. Since it was, then it does not.

Illegals are not “subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”

Their jurisdiction is the country for which they are citizens.

There is no law supporting birthright citizenship.

Illegals are not “subject to the jurisdiction” of the US because they are legally citizens of their home country.

Let’s put it a different way. If an illegal was to be deported to his or her country of citizenship, would that be the United States? Does not both US and International Law support this?
