Former Trump Advisor Roger Stone: "The Ruling Class is pissing their pants."
RCP ^ | August 12, 2015

Posted on 08/13/2015 5:21:17 AM PDT by Din Maker

The New York Times reported that 3 of the other leading candidates considered boycotting this debate if Trump were there.

Having studied the ballot access rule in 15 states, maybe it's 19, the Republican establishment can keep you off the ballot with the stroke of a pen, or in this case, not including your name.

So, he said over and over on the stump if he's given a fair shot, if he has a level playing field, if the establishment doesn't gang up on him. Of course he wants to run as a Republican! He's the frontrunner for the Republican nomination, as of this moment.

But I wouldn't give up that leverage because I think there's a war room at the Republican National Committee of guys sitting around saying, 'what can we do today to try to derail Donald Trump?'

The ruling class is pissing their pants here. This guy is a challenge to the two-party duopoly that is running the government.

Are you freakin' kidding me? Did not know they could do that. If they do, that's the death knell for the GOPe. No wonder Trump is not giving up his "leverage".

He is a challenge, but it isn't a duopoly; it is a monopoly with two sides of the same coin. They swap off the oppression and freedom stealing every 8 years.

Your finally catching on....

If Trump goes third party, there will be no GOP anymore...where are all the crooked politicians going to go? to the dems (the dark side) and if that happens, the new ‘independent’ party will have the power...

One of the main reasons why, I have no clue who the Republican establishment will allow on my Missouri ballot. It is really hard to get behind a particular candidate at this point... And this is why it is difficult to comprehend, the haughty, high-brow attitudes over Trump messing with the GOPe.

Soiling themselves is a good start, but I won’t be happy until the manufacture of tumbrels becomes a growth industry (well, at least figuratively).

It is a “political party” primary. The “political party” can choose its representative for presidential election any way it chooses. They can arbitrarily draw a name out of the hat or do paper, rock, scissors to decide who represents the “political party” in a general election.

Guys, the fix is always in.

“Death Knell for the GOP.”

Many minds have been deadened since 1960 by leftist indoctrination and the Republic has been in its death throes since then. The “death knell’ of the GOP is just a symptom of deterioration.

IMHO

Which is why you have to wonder about the motives behind those attacking Trump. Byzantium on the Potomac?

:: The “political party” can choose its representative for presidential election any way it chooses ::

Here’s the REAL problem -— They use PUBLIC MONEY to hold such ^primary^ elections.

WAKE UP, America!

LOL, I had to look it up.

I’m visualizing it now, rounding them all up like they did in the French Revolution and just taking care of business.

A good side product would be the southern border over run - that is all of them heading home as fast as they can.

The nations commies would be seeking asylum in places like Venezuela, Cuba etc.

They also did a lot of fiddling with the rules in 2012, in the short, odious, and barren Romney bid. There are reasons beyond lack of acuity that has ¿Heb? looking so smug, in his charmingly oafish, Baby Huey kind of way.

I think Trump is reading the contracts.

Yep they passed “sore loser” laws that say if you run for a party’s nomination, you can’t run 3rd party. Personally I think the GOPe would rather lose the general than see Trump elected. If he does get the nomination, they will undermine him at every opportunity. They would rather have a Democrat so they can pretend to oppose him and use him to scare conservatives into voting for them, than someone like Trump (or Cruz for that matter) that they can’t control.

The primary in Missouri is only a beauty contest.

In Missouri caucuses pick the delegates to the national convention, and that will happen next March (I think). So if you want to get involved look for your candidate's coordinator in your county and volunteer to be a delegate.

Trump will be on the ballot. He just won’t have the prime real estate that will go to Bush and those which will divide conservative votes.

It’s all psychology of where a candidate is placed on the ballot. They know exactly where to place Trump to minimize his chances.

IMHO, we need to prune the party — particularly the growth towards the progressive side.

One Ohio FReeper posted that he can’t be on the ballot as a 3rd party candidate in OH. Sore loser law won’t allow it there. I’m pretty sure that’s true in other key states as well. That would make it nearly impossible for him to actually win.

No they aren’t kidding you. And it’s not an academic exercise, either. In Virginia in 2012, the state GOP decided to have a nice, clean Presidential primary ballot. There were 2 names on it: Willard and Ron Paul. Those were your choices, period.

It was one of those watershed moments for me personally and was one of several reasons why I finally concluded that voting was not only an exercise in futility, but counterproductive. It also happens to make you complicit.

Thus, I am now one of a handful of antivoting FReepers.

I think the “Sore Loser law” applies to candidates who lost in that state and then change parties or status to run as something else. Basically you get one shot at the apple. If you don’t hit it the first time, too bad.
