Donald Trump's dominance in the polls shows no sign of abating despite the controversy that has raged for days over his comments about Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly and her treatment of him during the first GOP debate last week.
According to a poll by Morning Consult conducted Aug. 7 to 9 of 2,029 registered voters, Trump leads his nearest rival by nearly 3-1 with 32 percent support. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in the No. 2 spot has just 11 percent support.
Every other GOP contender clocks in with less than 10 percent support: Retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson is in third place at 9 percent; Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio are tied for fourth place with 6 percent; Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is at 4 percent, a decrease from 7 percent the previous week. What's more, the controversy appears to have boosted Trump, giving him a 7-point increase in support since the previous survey. Special: Get Donald Trump's Cap Free Make America Great Again! The share of Republican primary voters who say they view Trump favorably also increased since from 57 percent to 62 percent, though he continues to have a 52 percent unfavorable rating.
"That makes Trump both the most popular candidate within the Republican field and the least popular candidate Republicans could nominate for next year's general election," Morning Consult said in a statement.

This explains Ailes calls to Trump
3 polls with Trump leading
Looking back at the last 30 years and what the politicians in DC have done to America, how could be not be this far ahead?
I question this poll. Of course I question most polls, but this one is quite a bit different from other polls.
The only poll that counts is the one on election day.
The Decadents have no idea of the magnitude of the FURY of the average American.
Even that one is questionable.
Trump *3. Fox+0
You can not kill the Donald. The Donald will live on.

Could not have said it better!!
Well..sadly yes, but it is the only one that matters.
Trump could hurt Hillary by repeating over and over that a lot of African Americans and Latinos support him because they don’t believe illegals should be allowed to break our laws.
Hillary is very concerned that blacks won’t be ENTHUSED to turn out for her. I believe some blacks would vote for Trump but a lot of others would just stay home on election day — especially if Hillary has to push hard for the Latino vote.
I just tuned in to the first l minute of Megyn Crowley just to see what she would say. Naturally she is defiant and will not apologize to Trump. So fine now Trump can go on Hannity tomorrow night and say whatever he wants. We never watch her anyway.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA
I don’t much care for Trump. On the other hand I love that he has the GOPe all flustered with their knickers in a twist because he isn’t one of them
I’m sure Ailes saw these polls before they were released to the public.
Ails likely saw his ratings over the weekend and grabbed the Maalox.
Pray America is waking
They can’t add tens of millions to our population and not fully expect it to be compromise and undermine the electoral process. It’s already changed our history and will continue to do so, but at a quicker pace.
What those in DC have done was cause irreparable damage to America. And it continues as we speak.
An very interesting short video.
