I never missed an issue of Superman and Action for 25 years, but when they killed Superman in the 90’s, I gave up comics forever. After seeing what they’ve done with iconic superheroes lately, I’m glad I don’t read them anymore.

Well, if they could do the following with the once wholesome Archie comic book series, I suppose damn anything is possible...

Archie Dies Saving Gay Best Friend in Life With Archie

The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday’s installment of Life with Archie when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics’ first openly gay character. Andrews’ death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.

“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie,” said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. “He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”

Keller’s character first joined Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones and Reggie Mantle in the Archie Comics spin-off Veronica in 2010. He later appeared in his own solo title.

In Life with Archie, Kevin Keller is a married military veteran and newly elected senator who’s pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting.

What? You mean Superman is not Black?

I thought everyone who is anyone anymore is Black.

Didn’t a Black scientist create Krypton? They were all Muslims too. I know they had some White people, after all someone had to be the villain.

Superman is white and still a man? I figured he would have been a downlow transgendered biracial queen by now.

Sometimes . . . sometimes I wonder how much more pleasant the world would be if bad things started happening to idiot liberals. Really bad things. Life changing bad things.

Is that wrong?

It sounds like the commie libs are getting ready to bring Superman out of the closet so he can join the rest of the LGBTEXLAX “super gay heroes”. Rainbow Man the Cop Killer from the planet KYnite. I know, as the kids say, that sounds “gay”.

They can print all the stupid PC and faggot sh!t they want to. But they can’t make us buy it—or accept its premise.

The New 52 Superman is basically a Super Barack Obama. It’s still tolerable to a certain extent, but with them taking away his powers, giving him that stupid solar flare power which is slowly crippling him (and he keeps using it for no good reason), and with him walking around with the shirt and blue jeans, I just hate it. Hate it. Can’t stand it.

By the way, Batman may be dead (he got covered up in rocks with the Joker), and right now former Commissioner Gordon is the new Batman, going around with a Bat robot suit. It’s starting to feel like it’s permanent and Batman isn’t coming back.

I used to get free comics from the Army and Navy recruiters when they had offices in the local Post Office.

They were very good and also good history. Sort of similar to Classic Comics which I used more than once, (and successfully too) for book reports.

The big two comic companies, Marvel (Disney) and DC (Time Warner) are run by libs.

The Archie situation has been a real mess for a while. It was originally owned by three guys in the 1940’s (one of whom was Timely’s accountant—Timely later became Marvel). Their families have been in-fighting for control of Archie Comics.

Nancy Silberkleit wanted to clean up and make Archie comics like they used to, but the current group in control since 2012 has been only interested in producing quick sale “stunt” comics like Archie dies, Archie vs Predator and Archie vs Sharknado.

Buy the independent comic books, if you buy any.
