Zimbabwe to U.S.: Extradite dentist over killing of Cecil the lion
CNN ^ | Fri July 31, 2015 | Faith Karimi, Michael Martinez and Laura Smith-Spark

As outrage grows over the killing of Cecil the lion, Zimbabwe has called on the United States to extradite the American dentist who shot the prized big cat.

Zimbabwe has started extradition proceedings and hopes the United States will cooperate, said Oppah Muchinguri, the African nation's environment minister.

Walter Palmer "had a well-orchestrated agenda which would tarnish the image of Zimbabwe and further strain the relationship between Zimbabwe and the USA," Muchinguri said.

Palmer, his professional hunter guide, and the owner of the land where the hunt took place are accused of an illegal hunt under the country's Parks and Wildlife Act, Muchinguri said in a statement on the country's parks and wildlife website.

Specifically, Palmer is accused of financing an illegal hunt, and he and the professional hunter are also accused of illegally using a crossbow "to conceal the illegal hunt" so they wouldn't alert rangers on patrol, she said.

I love animals as much as anyone. But a little perspective and a deep breath, and realization that animals are not on the same level as human life, would go a long way in a situation such as this.

I guess the only question is whether Zero will have him tortured before extraditing him. US sovereignty means nothing to that evil bastard, except something to destroy.

What person in their right mind would ever go to Zimbabwe?

The left knows what Zimbabwe is and they want a chance to take vengeance on a rich white guy by sending him there to die.

Never doubt the left would happily send us to death camps if they thought they could.

Yes! I’ve changed my tune completely from two days ago. It turns out that not one African had ever heard of this lion until some western journalist decided to make up some story that he was the conscience of the savannah (a sort of lion-like Joe Lieberman) and blow it up into a hit piece on RICH AMERICANS killing the entire wildlife of Africa. Obama will ship out this poor bastard quicker than he saved Private Bergdahl.

I wouldn’t extradite a hunter to the UK. That country is absolutely insane on the subject of animal rights. Absolutely insane. Check out the lib and conservative newspapers if you don’t believe me. The Daily Telegraph today is enough to turn your hair white!

At this moment that guy’s species is in more danger than that animal’s.

While they're at it ... here's another lion murderer that needs to be dug up and extradited!

Absolutely. I’m sickened by the mob violence directed at this guy. And some of it from freepers. One has been laying low today, thank God.

To extradite means a US law must have been violated. Which one?

I guess the PETA people and liberals and Hollywood celebrities and Jimmy Kimmel’s tearful pleas are just lost on me in this case.

I wonder if these same liberal pukes are demanding that Roman Polanski be brought back to start his jail term?

I’ll be honest. IMO the days of hunting animals for sport, should be done. If I walked into a home with a “big game” room, I’d turn around and leave.

I do believe in hunting for food. I do think people should respect the animal and use as much of it’s meat and hide as they can. What they can’t use, they should alert others to, so they can use it.

There is need to thin certain populations. I do respect moving parts of those populations over destruction.

I do not believe in returning threats to man in our forests. Land should be accessible to humans. It turns out animals that have been returned to parts of the U. S., were not in danger of extinction. They didn’t have to be restored to lands so that they would be a threat to herds of cattle or hikers.

We should treat animals decently, and use a lot more common sense.

What they are doing to this guy is idiotic.

If he didn’t break any laws, he should be left alone. If he did, he took a risk he shouldn’t have.

This isn’t the level of crime I would extradite a guy over. If Zimbabwe wanted to impose a reasoned fine for the man having broke their laws intentionally, I’d consider it.

Zimbabwe was plenty good enough for the dentist when he was picking hunting spots.

I’m sure it’s just as good now.

If he committed a crime, extradite him, because:

Zimbabwe was fine for his purposes when he wanted to hunt there. So it’s good enough now.

And secondly, but most importantly, when people come to our country and commit crimes, then flee, we complain. Rightfully.

We either want the same rules for all, or we need to shut up about all the illegals.

Illegals/immigration is in my top three issues. We need to either be consistent, or we need to pack it in.

And don’t forget Manute Bol. He killed a lion with just a spear. He didn’t even need a gun.

This is Zimbabwe we are talking about, a place run by Mugabe, where they hack up White people when there’s nothing better to do.

The closer obama gets to his presidential end, the nuttier the left gets. This is all so surreal.

Yes, Hollywood reprobates are upset about a tick infested lion but not the babies chopped and sold by PP. The sad part is that people will still support Hollywood by purchasing the crap they are peddling that they call entertainment. Why? Because Americans love entertainment, ease, and comfort.
