Last time anything like that happened was back in 1972, when Johnny Carson had Harry Chapin perform his song "Taxi" on the Tonight Show on two consecutive nights.

Trump has something to say. Most of the Republicans have something to hide.

Trump isn’t perfect either but he tends to unleash his inner bully on those who point out things that might flatter him less.

After six years of hearing the weak logic of not doing this or being forced to issue executive orders with a one-star explanation....it might be refreshing to have someone with business savvy to say he’ll do something for reasons A, B, and C...then define them in sixty seconds.

I remember some reporter back around 2011 asking the President a simple question that should have required a sixty-second response. Around eleven minutes later....he was still giving some marginal response that didn’t make any sense. It was like he didn’t know why he did something but remembered some fake reason why he was told to do this.

In plain language....people are waiting for this non-political guy to arrive and just get down to business. President Obama was built and designed like some soap opera, with twists and turns layered into the story-arch and you just never knew the whole story to whatever he had planned or dreamed up.

Notice how the interviewer tried to steer talk to class and wealth distinctions with...” but he’s a billionaire”.

They were’nt having any part of that.

I’d like to be a billionaire...he’s successful ( repeated several times ).

Everyone blew him off. Epic Fail!

I just wish I could believe he means what he says. I have seen Trump in action for far too long to believe this is anything other than another sell job.

Yes he is and most politicians and inside the beltway boobs are too stupid to realize it. They mock him at their peril!

No matter what else he may be, Trump is a patriot and that’s a species that is extremely endangered in DC today!

I share every one of those views, frustrations, comments. What stunned me is how easily billionaire Trump crosses class lines and income lines. There were some not-rich people there who said “he’s one of us.” Well, they are right. He doesn’t hide behind his money like Hillary or Reid or McCain or some of the others do. Bravo to this group.

Now I’m starting to be suspicious. As Chris Hedges [whom we all hate, I know] made the best argument for the Branding Coup made on America when Obama was “packaged” as a reformer, street fighter, and all around racial peacekeeper.

“Barack Obama is a brand. And the Obama brand is designed to make us feel good about our government while corporate overlords loot the Treasury, our elected officials continue to have their palms greased by armies of corporate lobbyists, our corporate media diverts us with gossip and trivia and our imperial wars expand in the Middle East. Brand Obama is about being happy consumers. We are entertained. We feel hopeful. We like our president. We believe he is like us. But like all branded products spun out from the manipulative world of corporate advertising, we are being duped into doing and supporting a lot of things that are not in our interest.”

REMEMBER - the BRANDING of O fooled not just Democrats, but disenchanted gopers, and independents - Thinking “this guy is the REAL THING”. Wisconsin housewives swooned, congratulating themselves on HOW FAR WE’VE COME on racial issues. BRILLIANT strategy - because we all found out this was no reformer but a lawn jockey for Wall St and the same people who have controlled our election cycles for a very very long time.

As we get more savvy - so do our masters.

THAT SAID -

I know how much time and energy some of us have put into defending the Donald - scrappy outsider [check]- Demonized by the men and women we hate [check]- articulating everything the ‘average’ American ‘on both sides’ is angry about. [check]

the Donald - ridiculed, laughed at, and chastened by the ‘insiders’ we love to hate. [check]

Now that he has garnered the support of the extreme right, the packaging department is going to work on the middle and left -

ARE WE BEING MANIPULATED AGAIN.

Is this guy just another Wall St insider - packaged to play on the emotional strings of the disenchanted on both side, while working for the same ole same ole.

The turnaround on him is just a teensy bit too convenient. the talking heads at Fox, the ‘focus’ group - the 34% approval rating of Hispanics who are being drenched in anti Trump rhetoric on all the spanish speaking web sites and radio stations.

I Hate the Game so much.. and I fear it because of the branding game worked so well last time, they might be crafting another version... this time packaging the PERFECT foil to a Bush/Clinton defeat

all the while providing us with another drone for the banks, wall st, the multi nationals, et al.

anybody else smell a wall st rat?

“They mock him at their peril!”

Kasich team calls Trump a drunk NASCAR driver.

First, Trump doesn’t drink. Second, they pissed off NASCAR fans, and all to HIDE Kasich’s establishment positions:

Open to federal involvement in the states, support of Common Core, the expansion of Medicaid through the Affordable Care Act, open to Obama’s immigration plan, which would temporarily protect 5 million immigrants from deportation, etc...

No. “We” are not being manipulated at all. I have never, ever seen a focus group as unanimous as this one-—not even for Zero. It really is amazing. They GET that even though he’s rich, he’s like them.
