Billionaire Donald Trump has taken a commanding lead in the race for the 2016 U.S. Republican presidential nomination with the support of 25 percent in a Reuters/Ipsos poll,
giving him a double-digit advantage over nearest rival Jeb Bush.
The poll shows Bush, the former Florida governor, trailing at 12 percent.
It is a huge jump for Trump, who announced his candidacy for the November 2016 election six weeks ago - and this despite the criticism political rivals leveled at him for remarks this month belittling the military service of Senator John McCain, the party's candidate in 2008.

Trump, a 69-year-old real estate mogul and reality TV star, seems to be certain to take the stage at next week's Fox News debate, which will use national polls to determine which 10 of the 17 Republican candidates in the field can participate.

Dropping the age card on Trump now...
How much of that support should be going to actual conservatives like Cruz and Walker who, you know, are actual conservatives?
“In a matchup with Democratic Party front-runner Hillary Clinton and Bush, Trump would tie Bush at about 23 percent among likely voters, with Clinton winning the White House with 37 percent of the vote.”
Well THAT’S IT. I’m for Jeb! (LOL)
Actually Trump’s doing pretty good in a 3-way race right now, since he has not targeted Democrats, or even Independents. As of now, HE IS TO THE RIGHT of virtually every Republican running. Let him run as an Independent and he’ll start pulling in votes from Hillary.
...but given that he’s CLEANING UP in the Republican Party, he won’t be going Independent. He’s perfectly happy to run as a Republican in November, 2016.
Bump
They will come back to them. Right now they are sending a message to all the Republicans.
Bumbling Hillary couldn’t hold onto water with a canteen.
What a strange presupposition.
Rubio at 3.9%.
Doesn’t matter. Cruz and Walker have not made their case. That might change but for the moment, it’s Trumps show and I cheer him for knocking out everyone else. Besides, Walker especially is a bad alternative, no better than Bush or Rubio or Rand or the others.
No it isn’t.
This country is on the brink and if there’s any hope of saving it we have to have a real Reaganesque leader in the WH that we can TRUST will do what they promised to do and has the record to back that up.
Trump fires a lot of statements people like to here, but look beyond the surface he is no friend to conservatism. This is all about Trump and promoting Trump’s ego, it has nothing to do with conservatism and fighting for liberty.
Cruz is real and Trump’s a fake and it isn’t even a contest. It should be Cruz who has the commanding lead in the polls right now.
Hopefully the debates sort this out.
Ignoring that Madame Cankles is the same age.
Rubio telling Greta the polling now means nothing and wait until the campaigns start. What they haven’t started yet? LoL. Trump is a different animal versus those other candidates who had wide but only thin support in the past. Rubio being dense and wishful.
Trump will peak.

I’m not convinced that Walker isn’t the GOPe plan B.
“Doesnt matter. Cruz and Walker have not made their case.”
Only a delusional Trump supporter could believe that garbage.
Have you been living under a rock? Ted Cruz has been EVERYWHERE making the same arguments Trump has, except Cruz does it in a far more articulate and PRESIDENTIAL manner.
This garbage that no one was talking about the issues or getting tough before Trump got involved is pure BS.
As for Walker, he may not be to the right of Cruz or an exciting speaker, but when someone gets elected Gov 3 times in a Blue State without turning into a moderate RINO, then defeats the Unions and enacts conservatism legislation, that says a lot.
We’re way past sending a message to the establishment. For the survival of the nation, they must be destroyed. Which of the other candidates will do what needs done? Cruz is the only other candidate that can even correctly identify the enemy.
Cruz and Walker had their shot, but they failed to excite a wide audience.
The presupposition that Cruz and Walker would have enjoyed all the support Trump is getting is absurd. They weren't exactly setting the world on fire before DT showed up.
Cruz and Walker are not highlighting the issues the way Trump is. If it weren’t for Trump stirring things up, Bush would get the nomination.
Yep. His aide (allegedly) bragged that he would move to a moderate position once he has the conservative vote wrapped up. Politics as usual.
