At a time when the majority of Americans do not view Hillary Clinton as honest and trustworthy, nearly all registered voters deem honesty an important characteristic for the next U.S. president to possess.
According to a CNN/ORC poll released Monday, 95 percent of registered voters believe it very or extremely important for the presidential candidate elected in 2016 to be honest and trustworthy.
The enthusiasm for this characteristic is consistent across demographics, and significant majorities of both Democratic and Republican voters95 percent and 97 percent, respectivelyagree honesty is an important characteristic for the incoming commander-in-chief.

All Hillary has to do is to make a statement at how honest, trustworthy and morally up-standing she is to her supporters and voila, she's 'Honest Abe' in drag.
You see, said on Democrat to the other. I told you she was honest as the day is short. I'm definitely voting for Hillary. All those stories about her criminality is being planted by her political enemies.
But half of them deem it more important that the next President bring them "free stuff."
Here are 1,120 well sourced examples of Obamas lying, lawbreaking, corruption, cronyism, hypocrisy, waste, etc.
More bad news for Hillary.
That is hilarious.
The left believes in nothing but lies and deceit.
Man that’s a stupid poll - do these people want an honest and trustworthy President because the current President is not? If this poll was taken before the last two elections, the poll results would be the same but so would the results-which says most voters have their head up their a$$.
Thank you! Finally.
...Including those who think enemy islamism to be honest and trustworthy.
Yet over half voted for the current liar twice.
Adios Hillary
So the other 5% are for Hillary?
I would like a little more in depth feedback from the 5% that doesn’t think the next President needs to be honest and trustworthy. That is a very curious position.
I see no problem, either.
Any question like this implies “all other things being equal.”
If free stuff, or gay rights, or even hardline abortion rights (in either direction) are a voter’s single issue, honesty and trust goes out the window, because the one-issue voter picks “his” candidate. The end justifies the means these days.
...and then they’ll go vote for Hillary.
Yes, where were they the last time?
What does that say about voters? That those two character traits were not important in past elections? Why, all of a sudden are they important? Evil was OK, now it is not? Mystifying.
But not important enough to change their vote.
What the hell is wrong with the other 5%?
Honest & trustworthy would be a welcome, refreshing change from Obama.
Depends on what your definition of is be,be is? What’z the test litmus test mmmm.
