Even the normally restrained if not downright tepid National Review has reached the obvious conclusion — Obama must be impeached for facilitating the acquisition of nuclear weapons by America’s worst enemy. Andrew McCarthy notes that in the time of the Founding Fathers, it was regarded as an impeachable offense for a president to withhold information from Congress regarding a treaty, or to use unscrupulous tactics to acquire Senate approval. Compare that to what Obama has done:

If only congress had the intestinal fortitude to do it. I don’t think that there is anyway the media could spin this away, especially with our national loudmouth, Donald Trump, calling things for what they are. People, even the left, would be up in arms about it, just as they were when Jimmy Carter gave away the Panama Canal.

But critics of the Iran deal should save their strength when it comes to the Constitution. Last spring, Republicans in Congress created a process to review the agreement by majority vote. If Congress disapproves the deal, President Obama can still veto the resolution. In other words, two-thirds of the House and Senate will have to agree to stop the Iran deal — a bizarre inversion of the Treaty Clause.
Congressional Republicans may have scored a political victory by putting every Senate Democrat on the record on the Iran deal, but they have also inadvertently bolstered the deal’s legality.
Has he noticed the filthy, lying, greedy scum that populates our legislature? Led by traitors Boehner and McConnell? They don’t care about anything except lining their lousy pockets.
Dave Blount & Andrew McCarthy are both correct of course, but the Republican leadership does not have the balls to even consider impeachment in private (lest it get leaked to the press) let alone actually bring impeachment proceedings against Obama.

Mitch McConnell would gladly lick Obama’s butt clean. He’s more likely to give Obama oral sex on live TV than take part in an impeachment.
I don’t see the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Senate impeaching lawless Obama. Even after three election cycles, low-information patriots have failed to elect the 2/3 Senate majority necessary to remove a House-impeached president from office.
This 17th Amendment gridlock might have been avoided if state legislatures still uniquely elected federal senators as the Founding States had intended.
