Hmm, this is a Conservative site not a Confederate site.
Those who defended the Confederate flag failed to do so as they couldn’t explain the confederate constitution support for slavery.
Your friends failed and got their asses handed to them by a lady who read the confederate constitution.
Perhaps you should go back to your confederate meetings and learn how to explain your support for its flag.
That’s all you ever have
Like in the old days back when you lived in your dads or granddads scrotum bunk bed with your fellow tads
We had toys ....video games did not exist
Hero toys like Johnny West or GI Joe
Well you could pull a cord and they would say something theme appropriate
You remind me of that..,.,one note.,,,it’s all you’re here for...to call folks racist and swell with lost vindication or validation?
Who knows why since your whole persona here is subterfuge
That means..,.hidden....or untruthful
If you have an issue with defenders of the south here who resist this purge of our history which flew on the wings of monkeys from your own butt
Then feel free to call Jim Robinson or any moderator
I would be EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE going toe to toe with you and your what culture war comrades in as public a view as you’d like
Let Fresno and/or the forum decide who they prefer
Southern Conservatives or those who despise us
I’m begging you to please do this
Btw
You just got clocked again
I’ll be glad to ping Rocky or X or Tonk or even your high priest Purple and Yellow
It’s shameful and I have a heart even for libtard Race baiters
Now run along and eat your Wheaties
No one reads the Confederate Constitution. It’s as dead as the dead sea scrolls and it bears very little relationship with today’s affection for the rebel flag.
I just read F. Scott Fitzgerald’s wonderful story “The Ice Palace” which has a scene in a Confederate graveyard that would tear your heart to pieces - if, maybe, you had one. Not only was Fitzgerald a Northerner, his family was related to Francis Scott Key who wrote “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Educate yourself on the cultural and literary value of the South and its flag. It’s not all black and white - but maybe you think that’s a racist statement.
I can’t even begin to express how much your type sickens me. You sit there and call yourself a conservative...you’re nothing but a useful idiot for the left.
Are you truly not aware that whispering has already begun about tearing down certain monuments to Washington and Jefferson? The battle flag is the easiest part, the one they thought they would start with. Do you really believe they’ll stop there? If so, you have no knowledge of the nature of the left.
They will keep going until they have effectively rewritten history, as they always intended, and removed every reminder of the country’s white Anglo-Saxon/European heritage.
As for defending the flag, I don’t know who you think you are, because personally I don’t have to defend a damn thing to you. The flag is part of Southern heritage and history, and that’s all the explanation necessary. If you don’t like it, turn your head and look elsewhere.
Yesterday I saw a black guy driving around with a Confederate flag draped over his dashboard and a “Don’t Tread On Me” plate.
The same day, I ran into a guy I know and we talked for a bit. During the conversation, he told me about being with a black friend of his when someone walked by wearing a Confederate flag tee shirt.
He asked his black friend, “Does that offend you?”
The black guy looked at him as though he might be crazy and said, “Why in the hell would it offend me? If you ask me, we ought to all be wearing them before they take away every freedom we have.”
My acquaintance asked, “You don’t think it symbolizes slavery, then?”
Black fellow’s response, “Of course it doesn’t symbolize slavery, but even if it did, isn’t it about time to get over it?”
See, it’s only wrought-up, oh-so-sensitive cases who get their skirts in a wad over a flag.
BTW, I’m waiting with everyone else for you to answer Pelhams’s question. Are you going to dodge it forever?Because if so, you DO understand you’ve effectively given your answer, don’t you?
I don’t see any difference between the people who want to ban the Confederate Flag and the people that wanted to ban Harry Potter.
