Top ISIS leader in Afghanistan and Pakistan reportedly killed in US drone strike

The top ISIS leader in Afghanistan and Pakistan was killed in a U.S. drone strike, Afghan intelligence officials told The Washington Post.

The air assault is said to have killed Hafiz Saeed Khan, a former Pakistani Taliban commander who became affiliated with the ISIS terror group in January. At least 30 other militants were reportedly killed in the strike.

The paper quoted Afghanistan’s intelligence agency as saying the ISIS leader was killed Friday in the Achin district of Nangahar Province.

Strange ....this report seems to be the same strike and it’s from 2 days ago and says the strike occurred on Monday the 6th.

Looks to be the same incident. In the piece you linked they said they didn’t know if Fariz Saeed was at the meeting, in this piece it says he was positively identified. That’s all I can think of.
