The "mainstream media...are partisans" who protect Barack Obama and “are ready for Hillary,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said in an interview with Glenn Beck Thursday where he criticized Republicans for wanting reporters “to like them.”
For conservatives, there is no such thing as a “nice” reporter, argued Cruz.
“You see Republicans, when they are interviewed by left-wing reporters, and they get afraid, they want them to like them,” Cruz said. “They are not going to like us; they hate us!”
One day a young staffer described a reporter to Cruz as “really, really nice.”
“You know what? No, she’s not,” said Cruz passionately. “She wants to destroy you. Nothing would make her happier than to take your life and filet you on the front pages. And don't think for a minute that because she smiles and is friendly to you that it’s anything else.” …

There’s no excuse for a politician fearing embarrassment by a hostile interviewer. Does Cruz expect to be filit’ed by some interviewer? Is he unsure how to handle himself?
I’d say the only way an interview could come out bad for the interviewee is if the interview is dishonestly edited.
Cruz understands the MSM for the vultures they are. Its my experience too. If they act nice its because they’re buttering you up for the kill.

If there’s anything that should unify the Republicans it’s standing up to the slime purveyors in the media. Most of the, including our Dear Speaker, don’t have the ‘nards.

I take it you have no experience with the MSM. The agenda, advertisers, and ratings are all that matters to them. They don’t care one iota about your reputation unless it means you have the funds to sue them into bankruptcy.
They will edit footage to alter the context, flatter you then ambush you once they’ve lulled you into a false sense of security, then destroy you if your beliefs are counter to the agenda. The MSM of today is nothing like the days of Berstein and Woodard during Watergate.

Indeed. They spew “prolefeed” and wonder why they’re losing ratings and business.
Walker will not allow them to get to him. He is very good in interviews and of course getting things done. The rest need to worry as they are all weak.
Other conservative candidates would agree with Cruz about the media being but an arm of the left, but it is only Cruz, that I am aware of, that has actually SAID IT...and said it well. Cruz knows and has the courage to identify the real enemy.
The leftist media must hate him with a passion for exposing them. Who they hate is who I am for.

Cruz doesn’t fear the media, and he proves it by being one of the few GOP contenders to state the obvious: The media hates conservatives.
