Ted Cruz: The United States should stop legitimizing the UNHRC with our membership and withdraw now

HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the following statement in response to the United Nations Human Rights Council vote in condemnation of Israel:

“Our single vote in opposition is just and the abstentions of our friends are welcome, but at this point they are meaningless gestures. It is time to stop ceding moral authority to the UNHRC and tell the truth about this hopelessly biased and anti-Semitic institution. There is no equivalency between Israel’s right to self-defense and Hamas’ genocidal aggression against the Jewish people. There is no equivalence between Israel’s extraordinary efforts to protect civilians and Hamas’ use of the Palestinian people as human shields. Being party to any body that believes there is only perpetuates this injustice. The United States should stop legitimizing the UNHRC with our membership and withdraw now.”

I want to hear one of them say...”Okay u.n., here’s your 10 million for the year. If that doesn’t meet your needs, we’ll help you pack your stuff.” Actually, I’d like to see the U.S. pull any and all funding.

Okay. Important topic. The left doesn’t care about human rights! Their Marxists for goodness sake! That stuff is not effecting people here at home. People are focused on the home front!

I love this guy. I don’t understand why he is not polling well among Republicans.

The best way to get rid of the UN is to suggest to both Russia and China that if they build UN headquarters on their soil, the US will not veto the move there, on a “ten year rotation”. Both Russia and China would jump at the idea.

Those worthless, parasitic delegates would then either freeze in Russia, or choke in Beijing’s pollution. And when they tried their usual antics, they would end up in Russian or Chinese prisons until booted out of the country.

And tell them to leave the United States, too.

Not entirely, and it’s early days yet in the campaign.

[I don’t understand why he is not polling well among Republicans.]

Is his name actually mentioned in the polls?

Name recognition, TPA, H1B, doesn’t come off as sincere. I don’t support him, however I like what he said here.

It was a FOX poll, I believe. I watched it briefly and it had him down around #10. They were all mentioned by name.

Ted’s people have to raise his profile and get him more recognized, esp. in the Northeast.

But Ted shoudn’t feel bad...Marco Rubio was dead last.
