Today, Jason White and his fiancé Jonathan Means are planning to obtain a marriage license from the San Saba County Clerk. However, the San Saba County Clerk Kim Wells has indicated that she will deny their application for a marriage license presumably based on Attorney General Ken Paxtons nonbinding opinion that clerks may claim religious exemptions in performing marriages for same-sex couples. In a letter to Kim Wells, Matt Thorn Interim Executive Director for OutServe-SLDN stated Under the United States Supreme Court decision Obergefell v. Hodges, in which all 50 U.S. states are now required to issue and recognize marriages to same-sex couples, this denial will be in direct violation of the United States Constitution and specifically the 14th amendment.
Thorn added We strongly request that you follow the ruling of the Supreme Court and issue Jason and Jonathan their marriage license. Furthermore, we will assist Jason and Jonathan in all recourse with San Saba County should there be a continual denial of their license
.Jason has given this country his service, risked his life and took an oath to uphold our fundamental beliefs as a nation. He and his fiancé deserve the respect and dignity of being able to publicly pronounce their love to one another through marriage and should not be discriminated against because you are choosing to ignore the oath in which you took and the law.

San Saba County is a nothing little county so doesn’t have the tax base to stand up to any sort of law suit. That’s why they were specifically picked to go after.

Tell him to come back with a woman to marry and there’ll be no problem.
Remember all the news stories the MSM has run about service men and women killed in the Middle East over the past 6 years? Neither do I.
Maybe so. However you need 3/4 of the states (38 states) to amend the constitution. Prior to the SC ruling at least 37 states allowed gay marriage and thus would not be likely to support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. So we are not anywhere close to the number needed.
Staff Sgt. Jason White received the Valor device.
Wouldn’t a short day trip to Travis County get them the
license with less hassle?
He could easily go somewhere else to get an enforcement of his sodomy. Hes only making a fuss of going to this lady because he knows it forces her to compromise her faith. Thus as it compromises the faith of the people of her county.
This ‘Marine’ is a jackass.
So now “state” means individuals too?
Doesn’t the ruling say the states must allow it - as far as I know, the state does allow it.
Too bad they caved to extortion.
The short lesson is that nothing SCOTUS says is credible. It changes like the wind.
Exactly. I don’t care how many medals you have.
Yes, it did. At least until the feds get around to creating a federal marriage license. SCOTUS found homo marriage to be a fundamental right, putting it on par with the right to speak your mind. States cannot deny fundamental rights.
You misunderstand federalism. Federalism actually give that right to the states, period. What you are describing is not federalism, and not a federal government - but tyranny.
It was a despicable tactic - but she was not forced to compromise her faith. She chose to do so.
What the hell is “outserve sdln”?
Insane how these degenerate faggots don’t understand that the right will strike back with a vengeance once the faggot in the WH is gone.
The payback will be swift and merciless.
Where are the 2 men from?
I see what you did there.
>.<
LOL
You assume there is a controlling legal authority.
There is none.
Look at how Chavez transformed Venezuela.
We currently have a communist moslem faggot foreign left wing dictator in the WH with a blackmailed bunch of degenerate homosexuals and lesbians on his "Supreme Court" as his allies.
Unless he is ready to start CWII, he will be gone soon.
The USA is Post Constitutional and the RIGHT WING DICTATOR IS COMING.
