The attack happened two weeks ago as the boy was walking home from school. His tormentors, who were fellow students at Martin Luther King High School, can be heard laughing and yelling as all five wail their fists and feet.

Since there were no whites involved, this crime means nothing. Boys just being boys.
Think of it as a huge warning sign telling normal, civilized people to stay the hell away ... kind of like the big warning sign at the zoo that tells visitors not to climb into the cages with the wild animals.
In the article comments a poster says the victim was an honor student. So the ferals probably thought he was acting white and had this cowardly beat down coming. They all need to be tried as adults and do significant prison time.
It was just practice for the next election cycle. New Black Panthers are recruiting in Phila. They were given a total pass last time and plan to ramp up the violence.

I find it adorable that these young men are going to “school” in the middle of summer though. I know it’s really going to pay off one day. Lolol.
They probably have graduations — The “graduates” may not be able to read their diplomas though.
This breaks my heart. As a veteran urban school teacher, I have long advocated for honors schools. Not honors classes, honors schools, schools with a strict dress code and high standards for behavior and academics. And enough room so every kid who qualifies can get in.
We actually have a public honors school in my district. It is a wonderful, orderly place. Students can take chemistry one period, then violin lessons the next. Students who misbehave are gone, and gone fast.
But there is only room for a small fraction of the students who apply. Those who don't get in end up in their chaotic neighborhood schools.
They are all highly diligent physics majors.
