Don't
ever change the names of any public street or building named after Martin Luther King.
Think of it as a huge warning sign telling normal, civilized people to stay the hell away ... kind of like the big warning sign at the zoo that tells visitors not to climb into the cages with the wild animals.

Four things you don't do:
- Jaywalk across the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Memorial day
- Hang a picture frame above your bed in California
- Buy a house on Riverfront Drive in the Midwest
- Take your lover out for a date on Martin Luther King Blvd.

My understanding is that any city that uses MLK for the name of anything has to pay the King Foundation to do so. I don’t know if it’s a one-time payment, regular payment, or negotiated.
