Yes. You are right. You should not equate. Go figure, a Democrat balanced the budget (Jackson). But equating things to the past is what they are doing while ignoring the true history. They are talking about a war that is 150 years gone. But much of what they talk about is not that far gone.

There is a difference between the items with the Confederate Flag and the others you mentioned. The items with the Confederate Flag represented the United States of America when it was Governed according to the parameters set forth in the Constitution. Prior to November 4, 2008. The others represent the United States of America after November 4, 2008 when a majority of those that voted rejected Constitutional Government. When they said, via their votes, The Constitution can go to hell, we want a muslim to rule us. We do not wish to be led, we want to be ruled by a muslim with an iron hand. God can take a hike, we want nothing to do with Christian values, ethics, or principles. This was demonstrated by the Democrat Delegates booing the mention of the name of God three times in succession on National television at their National Convention. The seeds that were sown in 2008 and 2012 have matured and ripened now. We are reaping that crop

Logically given all that has been done under the name of the Democratic Party, I call for banning the name Democrat and the color blue. All tributes to Carter and Clinton to be removed. Democrat is to be the “d” word. Apply their own rules to them, per Alinsky. This is just for starters.
