A House Republican on Thursday proposed forcing the Supreme Court justices and their staff to enroll in ObamaCare.
Rep. Brian Babin (R-Texas) said that his SCOTUScare Act would make all nine justices and their employees join the national healthcare laws exchanges.

As the Supreme Court continues to ignore the letter of the law, its important that these six individuals understand the full impact of their decisions on the American people, he said. Thats why I introduced the SCOTUScare Act to require the Supreme Court and all of its employees to sign up for ObamaCare, Babin said.
Babins potential legislation would only let the federal government provide healthcare to the Supreme Court and its staff via ObamaCare exchanges.
By eliminating their exemption from ObamaCare, they will see firsthand what the American people are forced to live with, he added.
His move follows the Supreme Courts ruling Thursday morning that upheld the subsidies under ObamaCare that are provided by the government to offset the cost of buying insurance.
The 6-3 decision, authored by Chief Justice John Roberts, said consumers purchasing health insurance from the federal exchange in roughly 34 states could continue to do so.
The ruling in King v. Burwell has spurred anger on the right, with conservatives questioning the logic of the decision.
They deserve an Olympic medal for the legal gymnastics, Rep. Joe Pitts (R-Pa.), the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee, told The Hill.
Roberts argued in his decision that eliminating subsidies would have pulled state healthcare markets into a death spiral. That chain of effects, he added, was not consistent with ObamaCares intent.
The argument that the phrase established by the State would be superfluous if Congress meant to extend tax credits to both State and Federal Exchanges is unpersuasive, he wrote.
Justice Antonin Scalia strongly criticized that interpretation in his dissent.
We should start by calling this law SCOTUScare, he wrote, lambasting Roberts for the ObamaCare decision in 2012 declaring the laws mandate that people buy insurance constitutional.
President Obama celebrated the Supreme Courts ruling in a statement from the Rose Garden.
After multiple challenges before the Supreme Court, the Affordable Care Act is here to stay, he said.
Good. And when they vote for faggot marriage, make everyone of them have sex with fags too.
More symbolic waste of time. Do something that matters before it’s too late.
LOL! It won’t even pass the House.
We’ve had our fill of this and that legislation that reveals this and that. “If they don’t vote for it, and he doesn’t sign it, it’ll show everyone they’re for open borders.” “Ted Cruz’s filibuster showed everyone who’s really against Obamacare.” Have you noticed any positive changed in any of that? No. All this shows is the so called conservatives in the House still don’t get what’s going on. They really are why it’s The Stupid Party.
Obama will never sign it. HOWEVER, if we are all equal under the law then Hussein’s UnAffordable Care act (HUAC) is unconstitutional because there are so many persons excepted from it (most of those who SUPPORT it don’t live under it).
It may not even get a floor vote without horrible amendments.
If you think Obie will sign this you are smoking something funny.
Brilliant! Let’s get the bill # and call our convress critters.
I think reducing judicial pay is unconstitutional.
All theater. Just like the BS about wanting to repeal OC.
Crunch time is getting closer. What will they want to destroy next? Whatever is important to us.
One...thing...at...a...time.
Drip, drip, drip.
One day you wake up and realize that you’ve gone days without saying in public any you really believe in. That you don’t know who at work is safe to talk to - you don’t want to lose your job. You have to be careful what you say to your neighbors, the parents of your kids friends. And you are cautioning your kids with a list of topics to avoid in school and with their friends. It dawns on you that everything you say and much of what you do is predicated on the goal of just keeping your head down, staying below the radar.
When that day comes, you also realize that it’s simply too late.
ALL PUBLIC SERVANTS AND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES NATIONWIDE!!!
I like this but Buzzy Bader Ginsburg needs to live long enough for a conservative president to appoint her replacement...
Who cares the law only means what they say it means.
What’s the point.
Make the Congress have to enroll as well.
You can always count on business as usual politicians with symbolic legislation that doesn’t do what needs to be done.
100 percent elimination of Obamacare for all Americans forever with no replacement.
I hate Obamacare but I’m invested in the rapidly rising healthcare stocks, too.....Obamacare was really about bailing out the healthcare industry with some Progressive bells and whistles attached to it.
The GOPe and its long list of Presidential candidates want to repeal and replace Obamacare with a version that has Conservative window dressing in it.
Thank God someone is using that grey matter. Before the first case was heard in the building of the ‘Wise Men of DC” It was asked exactly how the justices were treated as to insurance and health care. Only a question to myself (which of course was never answered) Yes....these ‘wise men’ and their staff as well as every DC critter and their staff should be required to sign up for this o-care/SCOTUScare bill
With the the anger of WTP gaining momentum daily, both parties and legislatures might take a second look at what needs to be done. JB (considering his change of heart today) might take a more kindly look at what must be done in order to save the country....not to mention his ‘job’ And the pResident in our oo, after telling US countless times how great this plan is and how ‘it’s working, working just as planned would find himself in somewhat of a corner.
Of course, this is only a dream - the GOPe must come out of the folds of darkness and show their faces to do something which might save our Republic. None the less, it is worth a try for any Conservative who might wish to DO something purposeful rather than just ‘talking’ about it.
Don’t just stop there, require ALL members of Congress, the Senate and Executive branch to nor only enroll in 0-care, but, just like with gov’t employees require all judges and elected officials be subjected to periodic drug and alcohol testing.
NEVER HAPPEN.
I actually laughed at that.
The R’s control both...
Sweet Jesus dude, what the HELL good has that done us so far?!
