Dear Ms. Haley: Has it dawned on you that you cannot – repeat - Cannot placate a mob of leftists bent on the destruction of freedom? That should have been obvious to you BEFORE your pandered to the masses. But alas, it should be readily apparent to you NOW.
You could have simply waited a few news cycles and the whole thing would have blown over with the media chasing after yet another squirrel. This is what Communists on the Country’s left do all the time – they Stonewall (oops! Can I even use that expression any more?) delay and demur and questions on the controversy de jour until enough time passes that the masses move on to the latest on what the Kardashians are doing or some other mindless pabulum. This is Hillary Clinton’s ongoing media strategy, but rest assured she will clue everyone in on her excuses from breaking the law somewhere along towards the end of 2nd or 3rd term in the oval office.
But hey, instead of following that tried and true method and having the whole thing burn itself out right around now, you choose to throw a big ‘Ol bucket of gasoline on the fire pandering to the DemoMob. Now with your attempt at appeasement, the freedom hating leftist can now point to YOU and other denizens of the GOP for justification for their lynching of history.
You and the RINO pack could have tried to weather the storm a few days and it would have blown itself out, but instead you decided to reward them and encourage them to press on making even more insane demands.
Make my words, they will keep on making more and more outrageous demands until you have to put you foot down – THEN they will turn on you and act as though you didn’t try to appease them in the first place.
So let’s have a new rule – call it the Nikki rule:
Any time there is a Controversy like this WAIT at least 5 –7 days before even considering any type of pandering aside from the perfunctory short press statements that don’t actually say anything.

P.S. One other thing, your aspirations for higher office are toast at this point, that should be painfully obvious to you by now. And it should serve as an object lesson for anyone in the GOP that wishes to follow your path to destruction.
I really wanted someone to vote for besides Haley. She “ain’t from around here” and never had ancestors that have a history in SC or the Confederacy. She has no heritage with the rest of South Carolina. It’s easy for her to erase our history because it’s not her history and means nothing to her.

I guess Gov Haley didn’t realize this move would only result in her spending the next $50 million in her budget renaming highways, state parks, libraries, etc., and all the signage that goes with that.
Why do we even subscribe by our actions that the confederate Flag is a GOP problem when it is exclusively a Democrat History Problem, let them fix it, but then again the petulant children that are the democrats never deal with the problems that they create, in the end it is always up tot he adult conservatives to eventually have to deal with them...

A simple strategy of jumping on the bandwagon and calling for the names of democrats associated with the KKK or racism in any shape form or fashion being removed from any govt building or public display would shut it up quick.
Start calling for Bill Clinton’s name to be removed from any govt property because he racial profiled and engaged in voter disenfranchisement.
Have B Clinton’s picture removed from the WH because he is an admitted racist.
Robert Byrd, Wilson, all the rest have their names and likeness stricken/removed from any public display.
Introduce bills in congress demanding all schools teach the racist history of the democrat party or loose govt funding.
Introduce bills in congress demanding the democrat party pay reparations for slavery.

Now they want to remove statues and monuments, even the University of Texas is considering it.

Does anyone honestly think the left is going to say “O Fie we must voluntarily give up our positions of power and authority.” Those of leftist persuasion have planned and executed well. Since the 1930’s they have gained control over all vital institutions; i.e. academia, giving access to the future governors, control of media thus controlling public opinion; control of organized religion, recently the control of business, once a bastion of conservative opinion. We are in bad shape and our civilization is crumbling around us.
